    ExpressVu satellite back in 1998?

Yes, most of them. They used Nagravision card in the receiver. Back then if you aimed at a Dish Network satellite, the receiver would down load Dish Network's software and you could see the unencrypted barker channels. Most of the rest were scrambled. ExpressVu satellite back in 1998?

Yes you needed a Bell Expresvu ird to watch the channels because they were scrambled. When they moved to there own satellite at 91w ,you just needed to remove old lnb add new lnb and repoint the dish. I was watching 91w within 10 minutes of watching on 107. Sent from my P00A using Tapatalk

    Pics in threads.

I just noticed I can't see the thumbnail pics in the threads, and am not able to open them. Did something change on the website or is it a problem with my tablet and phone? Any help would be appreciated. I will try on my laptop if I can get it on. Sent from my LG-M153 using the SatelliteGuys app!

Any use for my old Shaw receiver/Dish set up?

You could aim it at 95w to get the cctv channels, it won't work on more popular sats because it is a bit small. Then just use a switch to connect to you Cband system. Sent from my P00A using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Alphastar satellite dishes after termination

Are you talking about the subscriber's dish to collect signal, or the head end dishes? The subscriber's dishes remained in their ownership, and they were able to do what they wish to do with them. Most left them where they were. Others sold them to fta enthusiasts. The headend dishes I...
