Think it's been at least 2-3 years since I got new hardware, so I'll have to give them a call and see what the story is. I have close 17-18 years with DirecTV I guess, so maybe they'll give me some kind of a deal...we'll see!

Hi folks...been ages since I posted here (probably last time I had a receiver go bad...or before I gave up on trying to figure out Philadelphia sports teams blackouts). Anyway, I've seen the push for the Protection Plan on commercials and I believe I also got a message on the receivers about it...

Yeah, I realize this. I'm really not holding out for s better deal...I'm just not that interested in this season. Don't know why other than the lockout stuff over the summer. I've been with directv for 17 yrs and have had ST & CI every year it's been available so this is a big change. Right now...

Just called in to cancel ST & Center Ice. Annoyed with the NFL labor BS and don't feel like I can't do without it. NHL's a different story...team went a complete overhaul which doesn't make me happy, so I'm skipping that this year too. Regarding the ST cancellation, the CSR immediately...

Ok...that makes more sense. Well, it doesn't actually make sense that ESPN can black out every other game going on, but at least I understand it why it happened. Thanks.

I do sub to MLBEI....I'm not dumb enough to think that I can get any game without being subbed to Extra Innings. I looked at the MLBEI schedule on DirecTV and it doesn't list the game even though it shows up in the guide on both of the RSNs. Guess they're just not carrying it for some reason...

I sure would like to know why today's Braves/Marlins game is blacked out on FSS and FSF when I live in Pennsylvania. It's not a national broadcast.....not on Fox (I'm not getting any game on Fox today), not on TBS, not on MLBN. So why the blackout?

Interestingly enough, I found the Boston/L.A. game is available on Fox Sports en Espanol.....audio is Spanish though. Knew I shoulda paid more attention in high school Spanish class :) It'll do....

Are MLB extra innings channels always feeds from a RSN? I generally don't watch them, so I don't know (guessing they are). Usually watch NESN for Sox games. FOX has today's Sox/Dodgers game so NESN isn't showing it. Unfortunately I'm in the Philly region so my local FOX is carrying the...

Dunno...I have WIP playing the Flyers radio broadcast with the NESN sound muted. I'm a good minute or more behind actual play. Was bad enough listening to Andy Brickley on Versus the first bunch of games but I just can't take Jack(ass) Edwards.

Ahhh! Didn't know they were doing that. Wonder if they will tomorrow night as well? Watching the Red Sox tonight and they've been pimping that they're showing game 6. Will have to remember to look into it.

Wish we could say the same thing for FLYERS games. I detest Jack/Jerk Edwards so much that last night I had WIP's audio on my phone into my stereo so I could mute the NESN audio. WIP's audio was a good minute of gametime behind NESN's video so I had to play DVR jockey and get em close to sync'd up.

Interesting....tonight the CSN Philly feed is again being carried on CSN Cali...this time it's not blacked out.
