If you don't have a Genie on your account, you can get the H44 and Solid Signal staff can help you activate it. Unfortunately DIRECTV won't let us sell the hard drives.

It was a pleasure to try out the C61K. It really proves how good DIRECTV has gotten at this stuff; it really "just worked." I would like to have seen a better user interface, one that actually used those extra pixels, but I understand why they didn't do that.

Oh and I almost forgot to answer the original question which is, yes you can use both 24V power supplies at once for redundancy, it will not overdrive the SWM.
