    Requesting antenna recommendation

Tried them all. No dice. I'm done. This has been way too much time and money. I'm just going to suck it up and get cable or satellite. Any want a slightly used CM4228 and CM7777?

Square 1. We've had so much rain here on the weekends, I wasn't able to get the antennae mounted outside until this past weekend. When I did, reception went back down. It is particularly susceptible to rain fade. I tried two mounting locations, with no improvement. In fact, at one point I...

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You guys rock. Last Sunday I ordered my CM4228 and CM7777. They were here on Wednesday, and for kicks I hooked it up in my TV room on Thursday. I leaned it against the window nearest my local stations. Every single one of them comes in crystal clear, without...

So much to learn... According to antennaweb, I'll be golden until next February, when CBS 11 will switch to VHF.

The CM4228 is only for UHF channels. Does this mean I need a second antenna for VHF?

Thanks. What exactly is the role of a pre-amp, versus, say, a power supply?

Wow! Thanks. Who makes the 4228? Winegard? Should I get the pre-amp if I've got an old Voom STB with the diplexor?

This has been asked before, many times, but I haven't seen an answer that helps me. Basically, my zip code is 27587. I live exactly 2 miles due west of where Google maps places the marker for 27587. It is flat, but there are a lot of tall trees. I have the Winegard Amplified Sensar that...

What the? I just bought that one, and I was unimpressed. I used to to replace my Winegard Sensar, and it was no better, and maybe even a bit worse!

    Improving OTA reception

My zip code is 27587. I live exactly 2 miles due west of wear Google maps places the marker for 27587. It is flat, but there are a lot of tall trees. I have the Winegard Amplified Sensar that came with Voom. I can get all of the channels predicted by Antennaeweb with signal strengths >95...

Voom OTA antennae to TWC purple collar cable connection not working

Right now it is a dedicated run. The splitter is currently out of the setup. I also shortened the overall length of cable between the antenna and the Voom. It didn't make a difference.

Voom OTA antennae to TWC purple collar cable connection not working

zip is 27587. To get the antenna higher, I'll need a taller ladder. No power lines nearby. All underground.

    Improving OTA reception

I just moved and recently set up my Voom box and Winegard antennae. No matter where I put it, I can't get perfect reception on all the channels I want. I've got it in the best possible location, but I still struggle to receive NBC. When tuning in setup mode, the strength jumps back and forth...

Voom OTA antennae to TWC purple collar cable connection not working

Update: The problem involved too much cable. the signal was basically losing strength along the way. I get most stations decently, but some are bareley coming in above 85. Dodge, I tried your suggestion with the Winegard power supply. The result was only slight improvement. Any suggestions...
