Folks - thank you all for your support. The problem was in fact the cable. It was hard for me to wrap my brain around that because it was brand new, but I swapped it out and everything started working as expected. Living the good life now - thanks again!

Thank you for the response. I tried that, but with no luck. I will hook it up to my existing house system tonight to try and get the software update. Once updated, I should be able to get to the aiming screen to get it pointed in the right direction for my shop. Thanks again!

After a bit more reading on the internet, I have learned that a computer update is not possible. It must be updated via a dish antenna. Others with the same problem are told to hook up to their house dish to receive the update or else take to a dealer to get the update. Another note was that...
