Thank both of you for your comments. The hard wire would be difficult Hopper is second floor and router is first floor. I will try the pulling power, and see how that works. Still don't know why it loses connection so often. Sent from my MAX 10 using the SatelliteGuys app!

My wireless joey loses connection when it has not been used for awhile. It is connected to a tv on the first floor, it is a 3 floor townhouse, the hopper is on the second floor. You have to go upstairs to push the WPS button. Go back downstairs to check. More than 50% of .the time it didn't...

Maybe my mistake was at home I have a wireless Joey, although it doesn't work most of the time. It was connected.. at the camper there is none.

I have backup the hopper and the remote. Setup at campsite and activated the new hopper. Unpaired the new remote and paired the old one. Went to tools, technician settings and restored recerver and remote. Nothing got transfered.

After moving every 2 weeks I am fairly good at connecting and setting up a dish system. This time I am not using a tech and am a little fuzzy on activation of a new hopper 3.

I lived in a fifth wheel for 14 years and had several dish receivers installed by a tech on a tripod allover the USA with never a problem. The last one was a hopper 3

one thing that is blowing my mind is that the setting and timers are stored in the remote??

I just purchased a new Hopper 3 for the camper. How do I transfer settings and timers to the one in the camper? It is not power up or activated as yet. Was planning to activate next week while on a camping trip. No power or antenna where it is now.
