    i-view 3500STBII & 222k

But when I have both OTA and the satellite signal connected to the TV in the bedroom and scan, the TV locks in on both the OTA signals and the channel 60. So the TV has both types of tuners? (As you can see, I know nothing about NTSC an ATSC).. Can you explain?

    i-view 3500STBII & 222k

I recently purchased the iview recorder. I was hoping to be able to connect our bedroom satellite feed (channel 60) in our case to the I-view to manually record an event from satellite. The I-view doesn't recognize channel 60. Seems funny since our bedroom TV scans and acknowledges our off-air...

Harshness, sorry, I didn't pick up that you were in fact talking bout Directv offering WHEC and not Dish.

    Mirror receiver

Thanks for all the info. It's supportive to have so many people take an interest :) I've got to make a decision. I've been out of contract for years now but would like to make a move if I'm going to, before the bad weather. I used to hate winter installs. Gets mighty cold near the northern...

Harshness, I am in Lewis county. The Herkimer county line is some 15+ miles away in a remote area. I know Directv offers WHEC out of Rochester to my area. Can you tell if WHEC through Dish is HD or SD?

I've tried to contact Dish via email twice but they do not respond. I'm looking into Direct now. The picture quality is better and all their networks are in HD.I don't care for the Direct receiver hookups though. It will cost a lot to wire all of our TVs. Our neighborhood is growing up now and...

What does the HR24-500 and HR24-100 stand for?

    Mirror receiver

Currently on the 2-tuner receivers, the second tuner is modulated via coax to the 2nd tv. That's the line that is split for mirroring. When tuner 2 is turned off through the receiver, all tvs get tuner1 signal. IF tuner 2 is not active, it can also be used for PIP on TV1. Having all outputs live...

    Mirror receiver

Is there any way to mirror any of the receivers? I currently have Dish with 222k hooked to main tv(tuner 1) and bedroom (tuner 2). Tuner 2 is then mirrored to dining room and basement. I do miss the picture quality of Direct and I'm tired of the Dish programming. I was with Direct when we first...

An update.. I emailed the Operations Manager at WKTV and asked why the HD feed was not available and if it ever would be. He said they in fact DO give Dish the HD feed but Dish down converts it to save bandwidth. He said HE too has Dish and is frustrated it is only SD but said he can receive it...

Looks like all of you investigated quicker than I could.. It does seem strange, doesn't it? I can see sb 29 would be marginal for some people but the receiver would automatically select SD if HD wasn't available, wouldn't it? Maybe I should try a move. Thank you EVERYONE for all the help. You're...

Bobby: I used your link and observed. I then changed your search to Watertown because that is my dma. It shows I am getting my locals from spotbeam 50 on 61.5. (Very interesting!) But, if you do this you can see WKTV IS infact coming from spot 50 BUT it's SD ?? If it's available in HD via spot...
