Thanks for the replys. Sounds like trying to get MKVs to play with Tversity and any HR-xx is a load of bull. I will try the settings you recommended and post my results.

The HD MKVs that I'm trying to play are 720p. I have not even tried to play 1080p yet. Why would your HR-21 be able to handle 720p MKVs but my HR-22 would not?

Wanted to know if their was a way to update the Media Share software for my HR-21? Does the regular updates for the receiver include updates for Media Share or are they separate? Also, what is the latest update release for the HR-21?

Do you know how to change the "rate" in TVersity? I dont even see a setting that has anything to do with a rate.

I dont have a problem with choppy video, I just cant even get it to play. I really dont think the video is to large of a file because I even tried to play a 30 sec clip and it still would not play. I know you can convert but really dont want to have to do that.
