Ordered mine and had it within 3 days. I tried it today and it works great. Sound quality is crystal clear with no noise and the voicemail features are nice. This is one product that works as advertised. They should do well. Thanks for turning me onto it.

The only problem is I cannot get a local number for the state of Iowa. It appeasr from the list that only the top 30 states are avilable as local numbers.

Thanks for the reply :)

This seems to be the lowest VOIP cost around.

I guess it might cut into Vonage and Skype subscribers as the word goes out.

This might start a Price war!:)

What I would like to see is a device to connect household telephones to a wireless service on our cell phone accounts. This would allow devices that need wired phone lines connectivity like FAX modems, satellite receivers etc. It's a new idea but no one is offering such technology. Cell phone companies are missing the boat on this one.

Don, Yeah, I agree. I have a nice device at home, the Xlink BT that I use for my cells to use my home phones. But like you said, most other devices cannot use it. I don't understand why this is such a hard thing to accomplish. Heck even if they had to make 2 ports on it, 1 for voice, 1 for data/fax stuff.

It wont really catch on as an idea until the monthly cost comes down for cell plans including the att unlimited otherwise its a luxury service for those in the middle income bracket or higher.

I have had my Magicjack for about 2 weeks now and the voice quality has been crystal clear. One problem has arisen though. The number they asigned me was obviously on some call lists. I have been receiving alot of spam and junk calls. When I called about getting my number changed, they told me that they could not do it. I have also found out that they do not yet have the ability to block caller ID or to have a non published number. It would seem they need to do a little more work.

Well, it's a start. I think that the problems will be fixed soon, price wise it's a good deal. Thanks for letting us know how it's working.:)

Are you looking for something like this?

Dock-n-Talk and CellSocket - cool cell phone docking stations!

You get what you pay for, the sound is really bad and it hangs up on you, like a real bad cell phone.

will magic work for a fax?

I tried usingit for fax and my fax machine keprt giving me an error message that said poor line quality. But I think that is due to my crappy broadband, I have 8 meg down but only 100k up. Incoming faxes work fine.
