IR/UHF Pro 4.0 Remote Programming?

1. manually turn on the tv

2.press and hold the tv button until all the lights flash red, then release the tv button, the tv button should now be steadly blinking red...

3.press the power button and release it. now the tv button should be solid red...

4.now slowly press the down button repeatedly (SLOWLY!!! (allow 2 seconds between pushes)) until the tv turns off.

5. press the pound button

should be good to go... let me know
 
Just tried that, hit the button quite a few times with no results, one of the times the "SLEEP TIMER" thing popped up, but the TV never powered off. I tried again and locked the code onto the one that made the SLEEPT TIMER pop up, but none of the other keys did a single thing.


I stopped hitting the down arrow when the lights started blinking about 4-5 times in a row after hitting down.


TV is no more than 2ft in front of me, with a direct line towards the remote sensor. New batteries in the IRUHF Pro, also.


Edit: I also found this PDF guide, which lists the remote codes for all brands -- strangely enough, NONE of the Hitachi codes worked.

Okay... try theses codes...

523, 526, 548, 549, 553, 554, 555, 585, 597, 626, 636, 638, 643, 648, 652, 654, 655, 665, 688, 669, 670, 672, 673, 702, 718, 726

press and hold the tv button just as before, except now after the buttons all light up, enter theses codes one at a time and press pound after each one and try to turn the tv on and off...
 
Nope. tried all those codes and the TV didn't turn off...

Although, with the 674, the Volume, Mute & Channel Up/Down buttons did work, but not power, or any numbers.

Might try pressing the up button also.....I think it works both ways
It's worth a try!
