I am thinking about upgrading to Directv HD for tailgating this year. I purchased the following on EBay "NEW DirecTV Five LNB Satellite Dish HD SlilmLine Ka/Ku". The picture on EBay matches the one on my house, and this is what I want to "duplicate" at my tailgate. It arrived yesterday, but the LNB was different. It says it is SL3PIG-Z, and I understand this will pick up the 99,101/103 satellites, but not the 110 & 119. What channels will I be missing? My home zipcode is 44306, and my tailgate zipcode is 43210.

Another question - anyone have any suggestions for setting this slimline dish up in a parking lot? Our old dish worked fine mounted to a pole on a tripod.

Thanks for your help!

There isn't much left on 110 and 119, especially for a tailgate party. Setting up that dish in a parking lot could be a challenge.
You'll need to plumb the mast, then set the correct skew based on the zipcode and then elevation and azimuth. I wouldn't go to the trouble unless you really want HD in the parking lot. Why not just continue to use the round dish?

Do you happen to know what is left on 110 & 119? I'm concerned I might be missing some college football related channels. We'd like to upgrade to HD since most of the crowd at our tailgate sits out and watches the game on TV, while only a few actually go into the game.

Tailgating

Why not HD for tailgating? Is there another D* dish / better alternative? I saw one tech that modified a multi-sat dish to use a Slimline 3 LNB, but that would seem to be more alignment critical. He did it for an apartment install that neeeded the smaller physical dish for permission, as nest I could read into it.

For arguments sake, is there anything to know about this "PIG-Z" LNB? I just got one too, same reason, tailgating.
