I was wondering if anyone has a contract with Dish Network for installs. My husband is looking to start his own business as a subcontractor for Dish. Any info or advice, thanks

sub contracting not for everyone

Hi reeds08 my experience with dish subcontractor was ok but I would not do it again. I was subcontractor for about two years. there was good days and bad days I guess thats the name of the game. There is alot of politics involved. I was working with a Arabic company and everyone else was Arabic nothing against Arabic I am Mexican, so I would get the short end of the stick (sh*t jobs) I had to bite my tongue for the first year and kiss ass. So if I would give any kind of attitude I would get a 40 dollar day. If I would kiss ass I would get a 200.00 dollars day.

I was working part time, Saturday and Sunday and some jobs during the week. Reason I was part time cuz I had a full time job during the week. I did make good money I was getting paid 75/20 at the end of both years I raked in 40.000 20.000 each year not bad for a weekend job.

you have to remember that the first year you have to invest lots of money into the business, van, latter, tools. I think I put in about 4,000 the first year

now I had my sons working with me so it made the job easy for me, it was 3 of us. example a 4 bed room job would take one person 3 to 4 hours. it took us 1 1/2 to finish a 4 room job, this job would pay 135.00. I felt sorry for the one man crew out there, specially on those hot days. this is how the jobs are paid

75.00 for on room
20.00 for additional room
40.00 service call
go back are free you don't get paid, so if you take any shortcuts on the job you may have to go back and fix it on your dime.
well I can go on and on but maybe this will give you a idea, its not for everyone.

see my full time job I have a steady income I have 6 weeks vacation free medical xmas shut down for two weeks, new years part from the company 401k company matches what I put into my 401k, sick time payed. so subcontracting is not for me.

Hey guys, I know this is a old thread however I was wondering what I need to do to get fullfillment orders directly from dish?

Is the pay still the same stated above?

I currently work for a subcontracting company as a subcontactor installing dish network, been there for over two years so I already own a van and all the tools to do the job. I would like to eliminate the middle man and receive order directly from dish.

I currently make:
$75 one room
$15 additional room
$30 service call

Upgrades:
$15 a dish
$30 one receiver
$10 additional receiver

Isn't there a retailer forum here that would get you better, more timely responses? I don't know if you need to request access to it.

This is little low, the rates i heard about are:

$80-100 one room
$10-20 additional room
$30-50 service call

Upgrades:
$10-15 a dish
$30-50 one receiver
$10-20 additional receiver

According to some of the subs i know, working with dish for the last 15-20 years, the rates are going DOWN???
Where are you located, with which company?

Kentucky, High Power Technical Services. They are the best paying contracting company in this area. Do you know if it is possible to sub directly for dish?

It's impossible unless you know the right people

Your better off finding a subcontractor and working for them.

BTW, your prices are too cheap...

$100 one room
$25 each ask room
$65 service call

Is the going rate if not more
