Where are my Satellite Guy's gamers at?

Like at least 4 million other people (if the online numbers are any indication), I'm on the COD:BO wagon. I wasn't planning on buying it, but I was under the assumption that Gamefly wasn't shipping out my copy of it on time and after reading all the good reviews I decided to take the plunge, only to come home today and check my queue and see that it was shipped out. Oh well. With all the Gamestop credits I had I paid less than $25 for it, so I think I made out pretty well.

Still delving into COD:BO, and now I'm getting back into the Assassin's Creed world with Brotherhood. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but the single player is still fun (assuming you liked AC 2.) One feature that is kinda cool (at least on the PS3 version; don't know about 360) is that you can choose different language options, so you could add to the immersion factor a bit by making everyone speak Italian if you wanted to, or French to make everyone sound like a pompous jerk. I wanted to download the PS3 exclusive DLC, but of course the PSN is down (AGAIN) so I get to wait for a while before that.

I was wondering if someone pick up a copy of the new Assassin's Creed. I was planning to buy it myself. I was a very big fan Assassin's Creed 1 & 2.

I been playing Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions on the ps3 and I wanted to finish those games before buying AC3. Also looking to buy God of War: Ghost of Sparta for the psp and maybe get the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Ohhh I can't leave out COD:BO, when I get a new video card for my pc.

I have Brotherhood now, and basically it's more of AC2 with some new refinements and subtle twists on gameplay. Essentially though, you'll be going through the same routine of running, jumping, misjudging distances, climbing up walls, engaging in monotonous combat, seeing well done acting and cut scenes that tend to screen tear quite often; all the stuff you've learned to either love or hate about the series. So basically, if you liked 1 and 2 I don't see a reason why you'd not like Brotherhood.

Does the ps3 version has the screen tear or is it known on both the ps3 and the 360? Cnet tv met up for a interview with a guy that help develop the game. He agree AC2 for the ps3 had major problems, but AC3 for the ps3 was built from the ground up for the ps3 and this time the ps3 version was better than the 360. As far as the graphical part of the game.

AC1, I own for the pc. AC2 , I own for the 360. I like to own the AC2 pc version, but the release date was to far after the console version and I couldn't wait.

It could very well be that my ps3 is damaged (80gb mgs4 model), but let me put it this way: the Ubisoft drop and spin logo in the beginning stutters. I don't remember screen tearing being on AC1 in the 360, but then again I played that when it first came out years ago.

I recently finished Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. If I can give ANY recommendation about it it would be to NOT buy the game, unless you can find it for like $20. The game pulls a rather amazing trick by both being artificially padded as well as punishingly short at the same time. Honestly, it is shorter than Modern Warfare 2, but at least MW2 kept changing up the locations to make the game more exciting. TFU 2 takes place in about 4 locales, 1 of which you re-visit later, and has one area where you literally do nothing but walk forward (no fighting or anything). This game really comes off as something that should have been a fancy DLC package like Dragon Age: Awakenings, but charging $60 for this even with the promise of DLC is laughable. That's not to say that the game isn't fun, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun force grabbing storm troopers, shooting lightening up their butts and throwing them off very high platforms, but basically you'll be doing the same stuff at the end of the first world as you do at the end of the last. This is really a rent-only/borrow game.

Conversely, I recently got a copy of Sonic Colors for the Wii, and I have to say that so far I am floored by how good it is. I'm not just saying that as a comparison to all the Sonic games that came out since the Genesis, but by itself it is quite good. It mixes 2d and 3d action quite well and doesn't fall into the same traps that previous 3D Sonic games and even newer games have as well (ie. the disappointing Sonic 4 Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.) It's still a little early for me to give it a full recommendation, but if I end up not doing so, it'll probably be the result of a major deal breaker...

I beat the game in about 5 hours. That had to be the shortest game I played since Wanted: weapons of fate. I spent the whole time waiting to fight some bad azz level boss who would challenge me and before I knew it I was facing Vadar. So I played it again just to make sure I wasn't on acid and yep it was really short and easy even on the hard levels.

Finally installed the copy of CoD:World at War that came with my Graphics Card; made it through the campaign and have been sitting, staring at the server list, playing the mental game of should I or shouldn't I. Still haven't gone for it yet. Not sure how to pick a server worth playing... so then got distracted by Plants vs Zombies...

I finished Sonic Colors and I am happy to say that the game does hold up and is definitely worth checking out if you loved the series at any time or if you just like a good platforming game. The levels are varied, the action is fun, and the cut scenes are actually tolerable (especially if you throw on Japanese voices with English subtitles.) Basically, if you have a Wii and you enjoyed the Sonic games of past, then there is no reason why you shouldn't give Sonic Colors a try.

On a random note, I recently tried out Space Ace, the classic arcade game on Blu Ray. If you're big into historical games, it is one worth giving a try. The keyword there is TRY, not PURCHASE, so it is a good thing to add to your Netflix Queue, because you can get all you could possibly want from the disc in about 2 hours. Still, that and/or the Dragon's Lair games are worth giving a look if you want to see what wowed people back in the 80's.

Still working on Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Black Ops.

I've also been delving into PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX. This game is very addicting and can be best described as Pac-Man on crack. You'll have literally dozens of ghosts chasing after you at speeds nearly 50 times greater than the regular Pac Man speed with massive million plus point totals. I recommend everyone download the trial at least.

Also, if I can add some buyer beware, it would be with the new X-MEN arcade game. While the game is very faithful and is fun beat-em up like the original, it suffers a fatal flaw by having unlimited lives. What this essentially means is that there is no challenge, and everyone just uses their super powers over and over to kill everyone. Compare this to the TMNT arcade game, which gave you 19 lives that you had to be careful with in order to beat the game. I'd recommend people wait in hopes of a patch coming that will remove this feature and thus bring an actual challenge. Seriously, beating the game is about as satisfying as stepping on a crippled ant.

Yes, PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX is worth the money. Also I am having fun with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (PS3). I'm not a fan of Tomb Raider's games, but I really like this one. Did I also say how cheap it was.

I second that Lara Croft recommendation. I was waiting for that price to come down and as soon as it did I pounced. It's a lot of fun. It's a funky Tomb Raider/Diablo style blend that comes off very well. I was considering the PC version because Steam had better discounts (66% off) but I tried the demo and my computer had issues running it at a presentable level, so I decided to pay a little more and get it on the 360.

While I'm still working through the games I've picked up over the past three months (Enslaved, Castlevania, Bioshock 2, etc.), the inner masochist in me jumped on the recent price drop of EA Sports Active 2 ($60 on Amazon). For the PS3, you don't even need a Move controller or PS camera as the motion sensors and tracking dongle come in the box. Though it's not without its flaws and challenges, I actually find myself looking forward to my next workout.

Well got a couple new games for Christmas. I got Assassins's Creed Brotherhood and Fallout New Vegas. Both for the PS3. Still haven't finished the new COD let alone touched the multiplayer for that. I have a lot of gaming time ahead of me :D

I've been going on a more retro ride lately.

First of all, it is fair to say that I have done a complete 180 with Call of Duty Multiplayer. Aside from hitting prestige with Black Ops I recently picked up a used copy of Modern Warfare 2. Granted there are many less players than with Black Ops (100k vs 700k+) there are still enough to have many fun encounters. I have to say that Black Ops was the perfect way to get me into CoD MP, because it made what I hated about it much more tolerable. The fact that I could buy all my Killstreaks and perks versus playing for hours on end made playing MW2 much more tolerable. Basically I felt like I paid for a nice expansion pack with MW2. Speaking of, I don't intend on buying any of its DLC, especially with Black Ops DLC coming very soon.

I'm also playing Alan Wake again. I was a big fan of it the first time, and during the holidays M$ discounted the game's DLC to ludicrous levels so I decides to buy both of them and then rent the game. I intended to just play the DLC, but I instead decided to refresh the story in my mind and play through again, which I am enjoying at the hard difficulty level. Again, if you own a 360 and you haven't played the game you owe it to yourself to give it a shot.

Finally, I just got Little Big Planet 2 from Gamefly and so far find it enjoyable. It's charm will win you over and it's platforming is comparable to the best Mario games.

In anticipation of my purchased copy of LBP2 arriving any day, I've gone retro by going back to wrap up some unfinished business in LBP1's Story mode. I had forgotten how rich and varied the level design of the "in box" levels were.

OK, how many hours until the media outlets start blaming the Moscow airport shooting on the COD: Modern Warfare 2 game?
