central valley california
Hey everyone, Basically I am graduating in may and will be moving to Florida from Turlock, in the Central Valley in California and I am trying to lighten my load so to speak. I have the following dishes that I am going to give away, yep, for free.

-a 5ft primefocus solid dish, its a little older, I picked it up from an older couple that said they had purchased it from Echostar a while back and that they were getting rid of all there satellite stuff. Pretty good condition minus some surface rust. Comes with the actuator motor (but I have no idea of its condition). Doesn't come with an LNB but I have a new BSC-421 that i am willing to sell)

-a starband dish that is seen in my first post with a generic .3db lnb (which actually pulls in better signal than my spitfire would) ,will also include the original lnb which was removed when i first picked it up.

-Also have the DirectTV slimline that I posted pictures of. I misplaced the LNB adapter but it is a cheap one of ebay and the mounting hole for it is there if someone wanted to use it for that purpose. The spitfire lnb that was on it died but still have the original SWM3 DirectTv lnb

My recievers (openbox s9, Coolsat 7100, Viewsat Xtreme) and my sg2100 are available as well but not for free, just shoot me a PM about those

I picked this 5ft prime focus dish up today (and the other free stuff) and gave it the 'ol string test! It passed with flying colors.. Thanks alot Zach, I'm scrubbing and wire brushing it now.

Certainly worth the trip!

Glad the goodies found a home with somebody who'll appreciate 'em.
Nice pictures - do follow up with more views and notes on your progress.
Looks like it was a very sturdy dish in its day, and still holdin' up very well.

We have some members who've restored dishes to like-new condition.
And those stories are amazing! :)
I'd probably use a little scotch-brite, and a can of flat gray spray paint.
It's a dish, not a crown jewel. ;)

I think it's a jewel! I already have 4 cans of flat gray metal primer and replacement bolts that were rusted.

Zach said the previous owners mentioned it was an Echostar dish as it was purchased directly from Echostar? The original LNBF and holder have been replaced. Lots of rust but the dish is true and appears to be perfectly round at 56 inches with a depth of 9 inches and the bottom of the focal plate to the center of the dish is 21 inches.

It came with the positioner (at least 50 yrs old!) and the polar mount, but I will replace the positioner. Still have much wire brushing to do...
