Recently I swapped out Dish for Direct TV.
I installed a slimline 5 transponder dish and LNB. I believe I'm getting all the stations I'm supposed to get but am not clear on what sats and what transponders I should be seeing. I do not care about locals. I'm in Alabama
Currently I get the following: (it is Raining)
99c = 1-14 SS= 24-44.
99s = 1,3,5,17,18,21,22 SS = 25-83
103s = 16,18,19,20 SS = 21-56
103ca = 9-22,24 SS= 24-52
103cb = 1-14 SS= 32-51
101 = 1-3,9-11,12-19,21-32 SS= 82-100
110 = 8,10,12 SS= 77-82
119 = 22-30,32 SS=25-98
All Tuner 1
Is there any sat I should tweek?

I think you mean just a 5 LNB dish

I think you would see very soon if you weren't setup correctly, but post your individual signal strengths (on a non-rain day) for us to see.

I would say 101 (the main or "home" SAT) should be at or over 98 easy across the board. But if you can post all the reading out it will make it a lot easier.

you are right 5 LNB. I have never gotten 101 for all sats to be over 98 even with a Round dish and 2 LNBs. I will post when the weather dries up. For reference I have.
Tuner 1
85,84,82,0,79,95,82,93,
79,94,82,0,83,96,77,95,
75,99,77,0,92,93,84,95
83,89,80,96,82,95,81,95

Tuner 2
85,85,84,0,80,94,81,95
91,88,86,0,85,94,83,95
79,99,83,0,88,95,86,95
85,89,82,96,82,95,82,95
each varies 1-3 counts either way.

There are a couple of spot beams on 101, so you won't get high numbers on all of the transponders, but you should be in the mid 90's or better on most of them. The same for 110 and 119. On 99c and 103c you should be mostly in the 90's or upper 80's. 99s and 103s are spot beams and only the ones aimed at you will be in the 80-90 range. Even with the rain your numbers indicate that your dish is out of alignment.

What is the recommended way to tweek the dish? Should I concentrate on 119 or 110 ? The lowest transponder? Do I need to care about the other sats? I get my locals OTA.

I would make 100% sure the dish is mounted plumb & level

Make sure the skew(tilt) and elevation are set correctly.

Then tweak the azimuth a bare bump at a time. All I have ever used is a $12 map compass to get started and then the receiver's meters.

I simply focus on pegging out 101; all mine are 98 + (where applicable) and the other SAT fall in line.

Other can tell you there methods also. It really is trail and error and then you will get the feal of it.

I agree with Charper and Chip ....
While I doubt you'll have all your signals on the 101 at 98% as Chip said they should be a steady diet of 90's, a few 80 and a few that won't be high due to not being in your area or being used.
Then I would look to the 99c and 103c and get them in the same area.... those can be tweaked with the Fine Tune adjustments.

Well tonight its finally clear and on
101= I only have 2 transponders at 89 the rest are 94 and higher most over 95.
110 = 86, 92,90
119 = all above 96 most at 100 and one at 26
99c = lowest 41 highest 61
99s = 1 at 15 one at 36, 60, 80,93
103s = 27 to 72
103ca = 47 to 72
103cb = 52 to 70

We mostly only watch HD channels. I do not get the 3d channels in the guide though.
I have the Premier Package and do not notice anything missing but maybe I wouldn't.

You won't notice anything missing because it only takes probably a 40 % to get a picture, however where your gonna see the issues is when it rains / snows, the signal on the lower ones will go out sooner.

The 99s is fine, you probably get your locals from the one that is 93 and thats about all you use that one for, like Charper said your 99 and 103c are really bad ..... and thats where your HD is coming from, need to tweak further or get someone out there to adjust it.
