In addition to my 722K, I have an Xbox 360 at each TV, that I use for gaming and as a Media Center Extender for my music, pictures and encoded video.

Over time, I have used the Xbox more and more, as I have ripped and encoded more of my DVD library. I had gotten quite tired of getting the Xbox controller everytime I wanted to watch TV on it, so I got to googling and found an answer.

I just wanted to share it, in case any of you guys do the same thing.

On the 722K remote, hold DVD until the lights flash and the remote is ready for programming... Enter 792# for the code.

Now, your 722K remote will control the Xbox, as well as the Media Center portion.

Hope it helps someone.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm trying to program my 20.0 IR to control my XBOX 360, and having partial success. The left/right buttons work, but the channel up/down buttons do nothing (the light doesn't even flash on the remote, indicating to me that the remote isn't even sending anything when they're pressed). It's impossible to navigate the 360's dashboard if I can't move up/down, lol.

Does anyone have a new code that works better than 792, or any ideas as to what might be the problem? Thanks.

The 20.0remote is a learning remote. You can teach it the codes. Since you have that code in the remote keep it and add to it. The instructions should be on dish.com. don't have it available right now.

Don't you need a 360 remote to teach it the codes? I don't have a remote for the 360, just the standard controllers (those are 2.4 GHz I believe, definitely not IR).
