I have seen this receiver pop up recently and it looks pretty good. Supposed to be Linux based Sunplus 1512 chipset. It advertises a 667mhz processor. Google maps, weather, Youtube, fashion TV. Linux dual boot.

I thought the X-numbers were at 16 and going up. :)
what's it sell for (shipped)?
get one and give us a review.

They had them for 70 shipped but they are sold out. I will need to unload a few boxes before I can buy another box.

No that was the S...series. 16 was the last I heard.
The newer series is the X...series and I have an X3 and it works quite well, I hate the layout of the remote though. It has same chip-set as the microHD.
The Newest is the X5 on a different build. I don't know of anyone that has one yet.
If someone wants to send me one I will do a review..:D

This looks like time to unveil the all-new eurosport Quadruple FacePalm Award!
:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm ...when will this nonsense end???? :D

I'm afraid no time soon, unless people stop watching TV...:D

That is about right. ;)

You wasn't kidding...a quick google search.....

From my experience with the S9, it was probably the last decent one. That's not to say it didn't have problems, but from the S10 up, members have been reporting all sorts of hardware issues.

I'm still waiting for the Openbox 666

Maybe that one might work ;)

Nah, that one will be designed for hacking only. The 777 is the one to wait for ;) ...

Really, I don't know why you guys are making fun of the Openbox X666. From what I hear it will have many great new features, including a smartphone-inspired flip and rotate function allowing users to automatically convert it into a model 999X merely by turning it over.

Mine now looks like this. 666.jpg And the clock stopped working.

Well........I guess I have the only one that works. My S9 has been on almost 24 hours a day for longer than I can remember and it puts out a great picture. I guess with all the zillions that were made, at least one had to be a good one.
