I was watching ID, channel 285 I believe at 3:40pm. Screen went blue. Then got a message stating it was solar interference. Not sure if it was happening on other channels (I checked a few and those were fine) and the channel returned at 3:47pm. I guess it's that time of year again!

Andy,
You would have had to look at channels that were on the same Sat/Transponder to see others that would have been out at the same time.
Thats why others were still working at the same time.
Also HD would be different than SD channels.

It's most likely that the interference is from a c band satellite, not the Directv feed.

Jimbo,
I figured as much. Me being new to Directv, not sure which sat/transponder correlates with what channel. I'm sure I could find out, but was in a hurry that day. I appreciate your post.

Theres a link floating around the site that gives you all the channels and corresponding Sat/Trnspndrs if your curious.
