I just wanted to point out that HLN is airing older episodes of Forensic Files under the name Mystery Detectives. So, if you are a fan of Forensic Files, this is definitely something to check out (as I do not remember these). Forensic Files airs in the wee hours of the morning on Tru TV. I read that new episodes have been made or are being made although it is on hiatus for a while.

I wanted to point this out since I have been watching older Court TV/Tru TV shows on HLN recently and read that Peter Thomas was narrating. I read that Forensic Files was under another name on TLC as it aired there first and aired under a different name on Lifetime. I never knew all this before; otherwise, I probably would have watched back then. So, I wanted to give anyone interested a heads up. I would hate to see it suffer in ratings and go away for that reason. You can tell it is really Forensic Files from the music, graphics, narrator, and link to the Forensic Files site at the end. I also believe that I read that there will be around 100 episodes. I was getting tired of the same ones on Tru TV airing repeatedly.

I am watching it now (I think I actually saw this one before) on HLN until 3AM/e. It looks like the same six episodes airing throughout the weekend. It will air again early Saturday morning in a few hours from 4AM-5AM/e. It will air again Saturday afternoon from 3PM/e-11PM/e. Then, it will air early Sunday morning from midnight (12AM)/e-3AM/e and 4AM/e-7AM/e.

Thank you so much for this info. I used to watch Forensic Files all the time, and was dissappointed when I couldn't find it anymore. ! For some reason when channel surfing I never clicked on Mystery Detectives, even though the title is in the genre I like. I'm thinking perhaps because It's on HLN I thought it would be something different. Thanks again I really appreciate it.

Anybody have any idea on the schedule for these?

I looked and it appears at least next weekend, TV Listings are claiming it's going back to Investigators/Body of Evidence (which both I like) with no Mystery Detectives.

But it seems TV Listings are confusing because titantv.com had the correct show names this weekend but no episode names while TVGuide didn't even show Mystery Detectives as even airing.

EDIT: Well I got some good news, they at least have ep names on Zap2it.

Oddly enough Mystery Detectives doesn't show Ep Names at beginning like Forensic Files always did, and truTV & HLN are sisters.

I noticed that it does not show episode titles, too.

I also find it surprising that HLN cannot call it Forensic Files since Tru TV is a sister network. I believe TNT aired Forensic Files in primetime in 2009; it also looked nice in HD. I also think NBC showed Forensic Files in primetime around 2002.

In addition, I am glad to see other Forensic Files fans and that I was able to help! :)

I must admit HLN did one thing annoying.

I wish they would come up with some better format than this repeating of the same "crime block" multiple times of the night.

I mean I think they should show some Mystery Detectives, Body of Evidence, Investigators, etc, maybe even bring back shows barely seen like North Mission Road.

I mean what is the point of repeating 3 times? For people who's VCR or DVR messes up? LoL.

I still corrected.

It appears that Sundays are still fairly normal with "Power, Privilege, & Justice" and "Murder by the Book" but I will somewhat miss Body of Evidence as I really see no place else it airs now and it's not on truTV2GO :(

Just another update for people.

I think because HLN is airing "100 older episodes", truTV seems to be airing much newer episodes.

For the longest time most episodes late night on truTV I seen.

Yet now for at least 2 weeks straight they are airing episodes from 2010, which almost all I have never seen.

I think they are having HLN do the old stuff while truTV focuses on the new stuff now, which makes sense, since HLN loves to repeat over and over even though I'd figured they'd have access to truTV's entire library of crime shows.
