Again, I'm very tempted to jump in on this. I have had nothing in my Gamefly queue for 12 days besides Wolfenstein and they still haven't sent it out. The only problem is that there are no other new games I want to rent until the crazy fall rush starts.

I'll be leaving the country tomorrow until the 28th. I have to think Gamefly will have it waiting for me when I get home so I think I will keep holding out. If I still don't have it when I get back I might just cancel Gamefly until fall and keep my eye out for another deal.

It looks like just about every gaming website is doing sales on Bethesda games this weekend due to Quakecon. I think I'm probably going to end up picking up Doom 3 BFG Edition from Gamefly for $4.49. I've never played any of the games in the series and this includes Doom 1,2 and 3.

The Prototype games are on sale on Steam. You can get 1 & 2 in a package deal for $14.99. That would be a good price for just ONE of the games, and for both this is a real steal. Both received GOTY awards from me and as much as I liked inFamous, I thought the Prototype games were much more fun.

Here's some NSFW reviews if you need more swaying:

Square Enix is part of the Humble Bundle this week. A LOT of games. If you pay $14.99 you get 16 games, with more to be announced next week. Of course there are various levels so you don't need to pay that much, but there's still a lot here.

Some decent prices during Superhero PSN Sale this week for Plus members. I was going to wait until I get a PS4 to get into LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, but $8.40 for the PS3 version is awfully tempting, not to mention upgraded graphics won't make that much of a difference for a game like this.

I'm hoping someone can talk me out of Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate for the Vita for $4.20. I hear that game has some problems and it always seemed like a good candidate for the IGC.

I mentioned here that owners of The Sims 2 could upgrade their existing editions to the Ultimate Edition by adding to their Origin Library. Now it appears they're just giving away the thing! Go to Origin and add a game and put in the code "I-LOVE-THE-SIMS" (Just like that, but without the quotes.) I just did it myself. Maybe they're doing this to make up for their decisions to exclude pools and toddlers from The Sims 4..

My duaghter loves Sims 3, and has me get her packs all the time, I'll have to let her know.

Gamestop now allows you to exchange giftcards for Gamestop ones. Put in the card info and they'll email you a GS code.

FYI, they won't accept anything under $20. I found that out the hard way. Really though, who gives someone a $10 gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond??

Awesome find! I've had a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card collecting dust for the past year and a half. I assume with a GameStop card, I can turn around and use it to by a PSN card?

Don't bother. There's not enough games to justify the purchase. I only picked up the PS4 because I got that INCREDIBLE trade in deal and I don't use my PS3 anymore so it made sense. But for most people, unless you just want prettier versions of games it's worth waiting for a while. If you MUST get a PS4, I'd say at least wait until Arkham Knight comes out and get it in a bundle deal with the PS4 because Sony has had exclusive deals with Rocksteady in the past so a bundle is very likely.

Good thinking, though a Dragon Age Inquisition or Assassins Creed Unity bundle would be slightly more attractive to me. At any rate, Gamestop would only give me $39 for my card that still had $60 on it. I guess I knew there would be a catch. If they dinged me for $5 or even $10, I would have probably bit. But $20? No thanks.
