Okay, I should be getting an A/V receiver soon for the eventual surround sound system I will have. Anyways, with it I plan to listen to radio (AM/FM/SiriusXM) with it. I won't be home all the time to listen to my shows when they are live, so I plan on listening to podcasts (especially on talk radio programs), but I don't know what kind of device I need, so what kind of device (that will play all three formats, AM/FM/SiriusXM programs) do I need for my home theater? (Although not important, since most of my equipment are Sony, is there any of that brand?) And is there any that I can pause, rewind, and fast-forward on my programs?

Edison, you are aware that if you want one with Sirius/XM, that the SiriusXM STILL requires a separate subscription.
Yes, I am planning on getting a subscription to SiriusXM thank you. But twizt3dkitty said that the A/V receiver that I just got would be what I need for that. I just wanted something that would podcast all three formats, maybe even if it meant getting separate devices.
If you want to record or download podcasts. Then you need to do that on computer and then play the files back thru your avr with a media player

If you can go without AM/FM (or get it via a basic audio receiver) and your podcasts are available in digital through media player apps you may want to think about a Roku.
Tons of content, easy to setup/use, and has a SiriusXM app.

Question... I just noticed that on my TiVo Roamio (which I use as a DVR for my OTA antenna) has an app that is called "podcaster". (Too bad it doesn't pause, rewind, and fast-forward.) It has some podcasts already in it, but I see you can type in a web address too. Would that work with any podcasts on all such web addresses? There is a lot of programs I want to listen to, especially on talk radio. So is there anything it wouldn't let me listen to? I don't know that app quite works yet.

Podcasts are typically MP3 files. That being the case, anything that can playback an MP3 will get you the majority of podcasts. My guess is that if your receiver is a "networked" receiver, as long as it can get to the file, it would be playable.
If it's not too late, I was playing with the Denon AVR-E400 that will play audio podcasts, Internet radio stations, Pandora, Spotify, DLNA, and SiriusXM. It also has built-in support for AirPlay (if that's important). Crutchfield has it for sale for $349.
It does require an Ethernet connection (no wireless connection) but pretty much anything that you want to do with the remote control can be done through a browser or an App.
