The only thing I find disapointing about the new iPads is they DO NOT have built in NFC, so you can not use your iPad to pay for things while you are out in public. You can however use ApplePay for online purchases.

I wonder why they didn't put in NFC in the iPads?

I've been thinking about it, but for me it's not a big deal: I always have my phone (not my iPad) with me so that's what I will use for any in-store purchases.
For on-line purchases, on the other hand, I do prefer using my iPad. So having Apple Pay on the iPad will be convenient for that purpose.

You probably could use a watch tied to the iPad to pay.

I just do not see many people lugging around iPads to pay for things in stores.

Has anyone received a shipping confirmation yet?
My order status is "Preparing for Shipment"

Just received the shipping notification! Should be here tomorrow! :D

Still haven't decided which provider to go with. Since there is no contract I am thinking of trying them all: one month at a time, to see which one works best for me. :)

Wow! Didn't know they were released so soon!
I haven't ordered mine until Friday night, so I will probably have to wait a couple of days longer.

My new iPad Air 2 has just arrived! Restoring from the backup right now.
This thing is thin! I thought my iPhone 6 was thin, but this thing is thinner! I just hope it's not bendable! :D

My new iPad crashed while restoring the Apps! I had to do a hard reset... Not happy! :(

They should not do that... the sim card is yours not AT&T's it is your property and they are disabling it. To me that should be illegal.

Looking at the Air 2 now due to the hardware specs. Still looking at T-Mobile due to the cost and data policy.

At least three of my apps haven't survived the transition from iPad 3 to iPad Air 2: Skype, Amazon and Angry Birds. One of them must have crashed the iPad. I suspect it was Skype.
