HBO for $35 is much cheaper than any Sat/Cable provider.
Sling TV with ALL add on peripheral tiers is currently $50.00. Add the new HBO tier for &15.00 & you can be paying up to $65.00 per month. Granted, not everyone will go for all of the peripherals, but each new channel that Sling TV that will not into the (current) core $20.00 package will really start to add up. To me,what would be nice would be if Sling TV offered the secular channels that Sky Angel(like the Discovery Channel Network channels) & later Fave TV(with sports channels like NFL Network,Fox News,& Fox Business News) had. However, that obviously could increase prices too.

a la carte is a la carte. You don't order the whole menu from the a la carte list at a restaurant.

So, when will Dish be lowering HBO to $15 for their satellite subscribers? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???

That is the interesting question. I never record HBO, I watch everything off of HBO GO right now... It looks like on SlingTV it will be HBO East as the live channel plus something similar to HBO GO. Unless there is some restriction (like perhaps no access to older series or something) why would you want to pay $20 for something that costs $15 through HBO NOW?

Sling TV, Dish Network’s new OTT-TV service for cord-cutters, said it will launch HBO service before Saturday (April 11) in tandem with a batch of app updates that will enhance the service while also reducing the load on its servers to ensure that Sling TV will be able to handle streaming spikes.
The expected timing of Sling TV’s HBO launch will also ensure that the premium network is spooled up ahead of this Sunday’s season five premiere of Game of Thrones.

Sling TV pushes HBO launch to Saturday as it upgrades tech
Apr 8 2015, 16:19 ET | By: Jason Aycock, SA News Editor

Sling TV (NASDAQ:DISH) had planned to offer HBO to its users today -- but it's pushed the date back to Saturday as it makes some technical prep for what is expected to be a rush of signups before Sunday's Game of Thrones season premiere.
The time will allow an app update that Sling TV hopes will prevent the kind of problems its viewers experienced during the Final Four college basketball semifinals, when the stream dropped out amid heavy usage for viewers that the company numbers at about 1,000.
The update work will "reduce overhead and load on our servers" and "allow us to provide a more seamless experience to all customers during periods of heavy viewership," Sling TV said.
Problems this Sunday might not be all Sling's fault -- HBO had streaming problems in its HBO Go service during last April's Game of Thrones premiere, as well as during the True Detective finale. http://seekingalpha.com/news/241628...s:df026810f4d5b4af4167fbbd077b1731#email_link

Sling TV makes HBO available today
Apr 9 2015, 10:29 ET | By: Jason Aycock, SA News Editor

Just after delaying the launch to Saturday to make room for tech upgrades, Sling TV (NASDAQ:DISH) says it's making HBO available to subscribers today on all Sling-supported devices.
New Sling signups would be in for at least $35/month, after paying for the core "Best of Live TV package at $20/month and HBO at $15/month.
The offering has both the linear (live) component as well as the same video-on-demand library HBO provides on other platforms.
Sling TV says it's providing customers with three streams of HBO, "in addition to the single-stream dedicated to its core and add-on packages." http://seekingalpha.com/news/241771...d:f889b859ef525caa7bba8d6da15ba679#email_link
