The Flash

I'm torn about the time travel. Now nothing is permanent. Anything can be reset from the kiss and reveal to Iris to every death in the series so far. (Both things that I expect to be reset.)

I think time travel is kind of cheating. Now the writers could do anything they want. Kill off main characters, bring them back. Reveal secrets, reset.

I agree. They're going to have to write in some consequences or limitation that prevents it from being done every time a loved one or friend gets hurt or there's a mass killing of the general population by a metahuman. Regardless, time travel is certainly going to call every major plot point into question, making them that much less exciting since we know the possibility at least exists now, even if there are serious consequences.

Time travel is a problem they seemed to have introduced into the "Flash" world. I would prefer that they not include it in plots, but since there is the news from the future in the secret room, it seems to be woven into the show since the beginning. I was hoping that they would ignore it as a one off event happening in the future.

So what happened to Barry #1 when Barry #2 went back in time one day? And Cisco creating two superpowered guns and inventing a gold gun on a dinning room table in 24-hour period without access to STAR Labs equipment/materials? Did he make them out of vacuum cleaner parts? What need is there for a Flash superhero to save the city? Just bring in some highly trained Navy Seals who can make good use of these guns that Cisco can whip out faster than the Flash can clean his bedroom. I hope this show gets better writers for season 2. So much wasted potential with the otherwise great cast, characters, and general premise.

I wondered the same thing. Why was he able to go back in time and not run into his younger self ? This time travel in this show doesn't play by the rules that were firmly established in Back to the Future 1, 2, & 3.

Yeah I think it is a little off. It is kind of like Quantum Leap but instead of leaping into other people he leaps into himself. Otherwise, you can't explain what happened to the other him a day ago. But if that's the case, how would he ever travel back to the save his mom? Leap into his kid's self? That could explain why his younger self ended up really far away from the crime scene. His older self leaps into his younger self, saved himself from the Reverse Flash by running way and leaped out leaving the kid having no memory of what really happened. But that won't work either because they found blood of his older self... oh well... I tried. :p

BTW, when Cisco revealed to Cold's Flash ID, I just thought, hey Flash could just go back a day and stops Cisco being picked up by Cold's sister. And I also think that the meta human jail is cruel and unusual punishment. Even murderers get to talk to other people and do things in jail. These people are in solitary confinement forever!

It's like a Meta-human Guantanomo Bay except not in Cuba.

He needs Barry to get back.

On another note, the next episode looks star packed and ten kinds of awesome.

That I do not know. The few comics I even remotely follow are marvel related.

I think however that reverse flash is a major flash bad guy

Great show and it looks like it will lead to Barry time traveling to prevent his mother's death and subsequent father's false imprisonment.

From what I've read it was for he next episode which is two weeks away. Neither arrow or flash is on next week and return 14-15.
