‘Prison Break’ Revival: Sarah Wayne Callies to Return, Plus New Plot Details http://collider.com/prison-break-revival-plot-sarah-wayne-callies/
For those who have been watching DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on the CW and wishing for a true Prison Break reunion between Captain Cold and Heat Wave’s Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, you are in luck. Back in January, Fox confirmed that a Prison Break revival is in the works, starring Miller and Purcell as brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, respectively. Now, Fox has added that Sarah Wayne Callies will also be reprising her role as Dr. Sara Tancredi, along with some new details about what the revival series’ plot may entail. The original series — which aired from 2005 through 2009 — revolved around Michael (Miller) attempting to rescue his brother Lincoln (Purcell) from prison for a death row crime he didn’t commit by getting himself thrown into prison as well. The twisty series featured, of course, an elaborate prison break, and it seems the self-described “event series” will be much the same. According to a press release,“In the drama’s new chapter, which picks up after Michael’s apparent death, Sara has moved on with her life, raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband (previously announced guest star Mark Feuerstein, “Royal Pains”). When clues surface that suggest Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever.Fans should also note that the original creative team will also be returning, including producers Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein, and Dawn Olmstead are back as well with Scheuring serving as showrunner/writer.The series is set to start production in April, presumably once Legends of Tomorrow has wrapped. And though Purcell’s Heat Wave has been sidelined from the crew of the Waverider currently, Captain Cold is still an integral part of the team (and one presumes Heat Wave won’t be gone for long). Presumably, the Prison Break series will have to work in between filming for Legends, although it’s not clear yet if the revival is going to be more than a limited event (ratings will tell!)So far, the Prison Break revival is set for the 2016-2017 season, which sounds like it may arrive in the late fall. We’ll give you more details as we know them, but in the meantime, what are you hoping to see from this new iteration of the series, and what other members of the original cast would you like to see return?

‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Spoilers: Wentworth Miller Has Amnesia, Sara Dies? http://www.idigitaltimes.com/prison...wentworth-miller-has-amnesia-sara-dies-523340
We finally have a more specific release date and details that give us a few hints as to how Michael Scofield returns from the dead. CAUTION: Prison Break Season 5 spoilers!

According to The Parent Herald , Michael Scofield suffered from memory loss at the start of Season 5, but will regain it eventually. Even though the Prison Break Season 4 finale made it pretty clear Michael died, the latest amnesia theory could explain that he doesn’t remember Sara, Lincoln, or his son, and therefore had no way of finding them. This could explain why Sara and Lincoln believed him to be dead for years and each moved on with their lives. The Silver Times reports that Michael and Sara’s son will play an integral part in helping him remember again, but it’s not clear when or how the two reunite. Michael's son is described as “a very cool and much more perceptive than one might suggest in his age.” If the rumors prove to be true, Michael’s son may be the one who discovers his father is alive and in prison. Fox has reportedly finished casting the older son’s role, but hasn’t announced the actor yet. What’s more, rumors a l s o suggest Sara will tragically die at the end of Season 5.As you already know, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies are set to reprise their roles as Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows, and Dr. Sara Tancredi. Dreams came true when IGN confirmed that not only Robert Knepper (T-Bag), but Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note), and Amaury Nolasco (Sucre) would also join the original cast for Season 5. Deadline got the scoop on some of Prison Break’s new cast members last week.Inbar Lavi (The Last Ship, Gang Related), Marina Benedict (Flesh & Bone, Torchwood) and Kunal Sharma (Miss India America, The Kids Are Alright) have each been cast in a recurring role.

Could Jack Bauer Appear On 24: Legacy After All? Here's What Kiefer Sutherland Says http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...-Here-What-Kiefer-Sutherland-Says-129547.html
It has to be mildly frustrating to be Kiefer Sutherland, since he presumably can’t get through a single interview without someone bringing up the prospect of him returning to the 24 universe as super-badass Jack Bauer. But then it’s also frustrating for his fans, as he has consistently flip-flopped from one stance to the next over the years. Despite relatively recently saying that he wouldn’t return for the reboot-ish 24: Legacy, Sutherland has now signed on as a producer for the show, and he’s no longer quite as steadfast about Jack Bauer not returning.I've said that twice and have been wrong, so I won't say that again. . . . It's a phenomenal script. I think it's going to be incredibly liberating for the writers to not have to figure out one more bad day for Jack Bauer. They get to write for new characters. And Bauer's still out there, so you never know what's going to happen. This basically means that the show will now be all about Jack Bauer and not the new characters that we were previously interested in, right? Well, maybe not, but we all know that as soon as Kiefer Sutherland starts to get more open-minded about his fan-favorite role, a reprisal is imminent.

‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Now Filming: Wentworth Miller & Cast Spill On Instagram [PHOTOS] http://www.idigitaltimes.com/prison...rth-miller-cast-spill-instagram-photos-525764
Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell must have already finished filming the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow finale because Prison Break Season 5 officially started production April 7. The Prison Break cast’s preferred social network, Instagram, is flowing with celebratory posts of their first day on set. For all Prison Break Season 5 spoilers to date, follow this link.Dominic Purcell recently revealed to press that he and Wentworth Miller are responsible for getting Prison Break Season 5 off the ground. “Wentworth and I decided, ‘Why not revisit Prison Break?’ – and so we went to the studio and they were excited about the idea and here we are. Prison Break was such an iconic show and it was something that we were very interested in revisiting, and they pulled out all the stops. So it’s going to be a tremendous show,” Purcell said according to Digital Spy.Purcell, who plays Prison escapee Lincoln Burrows, also gave reasoning for why the reboot is happening a decade later."I think the studio always wanted to at some point revisit Prison Break , but at some point Wentworth kind of semi-retired from the business," he said. "He gave himself a break and focused on writing. He's jumped back into the fray now - and as soon as Wentworth was on board, that's when the dominos started to fall."Here’s what the Prison Break cast has been up to on Instagram:

Thumbs down so far on 24.

It follows the same repetitive formula: Main lead running for his life, teenage drama and who's the mole

I can believe that, the show is a bit of a dud.

The show never evolved from its initial formula coupled with the loss of Sutherland I have no interest.

Besides the main actor, IMO, doesn't fit the part and look of a seasoned marine.
He reminds me too much of Pharrel Williams and I quasi-expect him to break out and start signing HAPPY while driving or something.

Boy Fox really is out of ideas with all these revivals. What's next ? Bring back "Married with Children"?

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing the original cast come back for a reunion movie or two, but you have to bring back chicken girl Marcy Darcy.
