July Games With Gold announced. Hopefully we'll get PS+ games announced later today as well.

Nice! I'm just about finished with The Banner Saga after getting it in the Steam sale last week and I'm really liking it. Getting The Banner Saga 2 for free right after I finish the first one is pretty great timing. I was tempted to buy it for $15 in the Steam summer sale but now I don't have to.

Edit: I just remembered the downside. Saves carry over from the first game and certain characters and events are different depending on your choices like the Mass Effect series. I guess I have to decide if getting to play it for free is worth giving up my save.

How is the Banner Saga? It's always been on my radar but I've always stopped because I figured I'd end up never playing it.

It's really good if you like turn based RPGs. The art style is great too. It looks like an old hand drawn cartoon. Plus it's only like 12 hours so it's not like commiting to a 40+ hour JRPG.

So I played a couple hours of Red Dead Redemption in backwards compatibility on my Xbox One last night. This is one of the biggest holes in my backlog so I'm glad to be able to finally play it. I can confirm that it runs much better in backwards compatibility than the Gears of War games me and yourbeliefs played together. It also holds up very well so far both in graphics and gameplay for a game from 2010. I will definitely post my in depth opinions about it when I finish the game. Right now I'm juggling it with Overwatch, Doom, and Stardew Valley so it could take a while.

Anyways, the real reason for my post is that I seem to have access to a lot of DLC that I shouldn't. I have confirmed by looking at my receipt in my email that I bought the standard version of the game back in March when it was on sale for $7.49. I did not buy any of the DLC except for the stuff that was offered for free about a week ago.

In addition to the DLC that was offered for free I also have the War Horse, Golden Gun Pack, and Deadly Assassin costume. I first noticed I had this stuff when I saw that my guns were gold by default. I checked the menus and the Horse and costume DLC where there too though. Most importantly I have the option to select Undead Nightmare from the main menu instead of the base game. This is a beefy expansion that is supposed to cost $9.99 and I am positive I didn't buy it. Next time I play RDR I will try selecting Undead Nightmare and confirm that it works.

The only thing I can think of that could have caused this is that I originally bought the GOTY edition for 360 on disc back in 2011. I only played a couple hours of it before I started having constant disc read errors because of my failing 360 and I never went back to it. I just confirmed that Undead Nightmare and all the other DLC was on the disc in the GOTY edition and not a digital code though. I'm not sure how all of the GOTY edition content could be showing up on my account now if it was on a disc I haven't had for years instead of downloadable codes.

With our ps4 being used as basically a Roku, think we're going to trade it for an Xbox One S and become a single-console ecosystem at home.

If Play Anywhere gets third party support at some point I could stop buying consoles entirely. EA coming along for the ride would probably be the tipping point for me.

I don't quite understand the question. You mean a player that can play various video files?
do you how with the the 360 you could play your media files thought the Windows Media Center, i was wondering now that Windows 10 don't have Windows Media Center is there a way to stream mine files to the Xbox one or the xbox?
