Just got this in...

Effective January 17, 2017, the ViP DVR fee will increase from $10.00 per month to $15.00 per month, with the exception of the ViP 922, for new customers. All other DVR fees will remain unchanged. Existing subscribers with an active ViP DVR receiver prior to January 17, 2017, will be grandfathered at $10.00 per month.

You know darn well that means a DVR increase will be coming soon (not a DISH soon) for the Hoppers.

As per Scott previously, you will be $10.00, grandfathered. Only $5.00 per month to get to the Promised Land.:angel2

I don't think that is clear. There are some at $7 and some at $10 now. The $10 people are grandfathered at $10 but it isn't clear to me if the $7 people will be at $10. I can read it the way you are saying for sure, but I also wonder if it isn't a complete accounting of what will happen. I've been saving $3 for awhile now so I would of course rather be at $7 but another $3 would not back breaking. It helps that I am paying $35 less a month now than before for virtually the same programming and equipment. ($40 less if you count 1/2 price for the Movie Pack - something I am thinking of dropping if 1/2 price is not offered again)

I read it as those who are currently paying $10, will remain at $10. But there is still room for interpretation.

As did I but I can see it as KAB is reading it too. Maybe wishful thinking... :)

Movie pack is pretty much worthless if you have Netflix and/or Amazon. Hardly never watched when I had it at 1/2 off.

As long as they stay the same or lower than their competitors.

Not exactly the way I would look at it - at some point they all need to stop increasing or the cords/signal are getting cut.
If it wasn't for ESPN I wouldn't have mine no more and if it goes up again beyond what I'm grandfathered in I may look at getting rid of it and using my Comcast login to access watch ESPN and stream everything in.
