Great movie! PQ and AQ were top notch too.

I took delivery on Jason Bourne 4K taking advantage of the Amazon price break. We decided to watch the entire series from the beginning so I searched for my copies of the first 3 movies and discovered they were in HD-DVD. really brought back bad memories as to how bad that format was with playback stability. I have two HD DVD players, a Toshiba and the XBOX360 HDDVD player. The XBOX was more stable but still would skip frames and freeze up about 2/3 into the movie. Really had to suffer with frequent XBOX hard resets to get through them. So finally got to the recent 4K disk and really enjoyed it last evening.
The only complaint is I hope we don't have to wait another 10 years for episode 5.

The image quality was superb and sound awesome. Of course aside from the stability issues the HDDVD copies were really nice video quality in the upconversion to 4K too. Can't complain.

Last: Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

I enjoyed it. Audio was great. Right amount of grain. Clean picture quality.

PQ wasn't the best I have seen from UHD at times (from my reading it was the way it was shot), but the audio was excellent. The 50 cal shots sounded like they were zipping through my living room.

Gonna fire up John Wick UHD here in a sec.

Last: Arrival

Movie was so, so. Definitely not the best UHD presentation. Audio was really nice, though.

Audio was good, PQ was OK, not reference grade UHD/HDR in my opinion; HDD only gave it 3 stars for PQ. That being said, its the best way I've seen this movie yet, and it was free!

Last: Hacksaw Ridge

Besides being a really good movie, the audio and video were spectacular. Loved the clips at the end.

Just watched Oasis in UHD on Amazon Prime. The video quality was spectacular. If you have it I recommend you check it out. It's rare I find an HDR I ac recommend but this one really looked great on my 665ES projector.

I wonder what you all who have panel TV's think of the HDR.

Agreed, it was a good movie, but I only rented it in BluRay at Red Box. Since I was a 18D Combat Medic in '68 assigned to a recon team, didn't see that kind of action but I could relate to the some it.

Last was Passengers. Better than I thought it would be. Props to Sony for NOT making me choose between 4K and 3D. Both versions plus the regular BD and Digital Copy came with the $26 set. Probably be a while before I buy another movie since nothing interesting seems to be coming out. Maybe Life in a month or two.

Actually. I don't care for HDR. Makes the image too vibrant for me but that could be because my panel doesn't fully support HDR as it is not a FALD set. Still contemplating a Sony 940D since they have come down in price.

Passed on this one just because of the movie reviews themselves. Probably going to hit Sing today.
