Channels Dish Network does not carry?

I've been curious as to why Dish Network does not carry the channels "LifeTime Real Women", "Logo", and "PBS Kid's Sprout"? There may be a few other channels they don't carry as well, not sure, but those are the three that come to mind. I just find it kinda odd since DirecTV does carry these. You would think Dish would as well. No offese, just my curiosity.
It is great that they just added the "Sleuth" channel though :)

They carry Lifetime Real Women. They do not carry logo and PBS Kids Sprout.

I do understand they are in talks with MTV about Logo and MHD.

The reason for not carrying PBS Kids Sprout is because most local PBS Stations broadcasting in Digital carry Sprout on one of their subcarriers.
 
One of the most MAJOR Channels Dish does not carry is the YES Network.

The New York Yankees are Americas most popular baseball team (I hate them personally) but you cant see them on Dish Network.

If Dish Networks HQ was in NY I bet dollars to doughnuts that YES HD would be on Dish Network.

Oh, okay! Thanks for the info :) I must have missed it on my Guide/Channel line-up. Not a problem. Just curious could you tell me what channel it's on?

And I can understand about the "PBS Kid's Sprout" that does make sence.

Hmm looking over the Channel Chart I do not see Lifetime Real Women. I thought it came after the big lifetime dispute.

Anyone else know?

They would wait. Why waste a transponder for 1 HD channel when they can use the entire transponder for 4 channels. :)

This I can tell you more HD is coming this fall and its going to be more then 4 channels. :)
 
We are missing those plus the RSN HD channels, Wealth HD, 29HD (currently broadband only), and of course INHD/INHD2 (which we probably will never get).

Some SD channels are Ovation, American Life, B Mania, America One, BET Jazz, & PBS Kids,.

Only ones I'm envying from local cable....

Max HD, SNY HD (SportsnetNY), YES HD.

It's hard to gripe otherwise.... They've added a ton in the last 12 months....
 
6 more Voom channels, HBO W, Max E, Max W, MHD, & Food Network. Are there any more that have really been announced for this year.
