What LNBF are you using, and what transponder frequency has the issue?

the average person could not tell the difference from a 1000 to a 3000 pc if there web surfing checking e-mails and so on some light gaming... then you have us power users that run virus scans while uploading to the cloud doing updates and downloading games with 100 chrome tabs open while gaming...

    satellite signals

On re-reading your post, since you have a hybrid twin LNBF, you were only seeing the 61.5 and 72.7 sats. I think you're confusing the transponder listings with the sat listings.

Most likely your dish needs to be peaked up. First, I would make sure the pole is completely plumb, truing it up as needed. Then, if still needed, I'd suggest gently pulling/pushing on the top and then the side of the dish while someone watches the signal level. Note any changes for the better...

    C-Band Not Aligning

The alignment is occurring because the antenna was pointed at Galaxy 33 at 133 W instead of SES 1 at 101 W. Attempting to connect to SES 1, Transponder 16, 4020H. The LNBs currently used are NORSAT 3020s For alignment, I use the XR3 directly to the LNB, which powers the LNB.

    C-Band Not Aligning

It would be nice to know which sat. you're trying to snag a signal from. And transponder. Az/el. So it will be stationary aimed at one sat? Realigning a dish that hasn't moved? What knocked it out of whack? LNB's? Orthomode transducer feed? Have they been moved at all? How are they powered...

    SiriusXM S-band Reception

On the XM side, each satellite powers two transponders: one is aimed primarily at the East, the other at the West. The Western satellite does the same. That makes a total of four transponders serving the continent. As for your comment about SiriusXM marketing posting about ASICs on Wikipedia...

TNAP 6 for Edision: Yes or No?

I think my Mio (no "plus") is staying on 5.1 for a while. I've had no end of blind scan problems with 6.0. It misses transponders frequently, even using the No-T2MI driver (which is the one I'm also using on 5.1, due to the others having problems with dropping LNB power which I've mentioned...

-----"The ECHOSTAR-25 satellite includes thirty-six 150 W saturated transmit power capability TWTAs, nineteen 165 W saturated transmit power capability TWTAs, and two (2) 35 W TWTAs for telemetry in contingency mode. At the nominal 110.00° W.L. orbital location, ECHOSTAR-25 will use up to...

    Edision mio+ 4K Tuner (?) issue

I can confirm that TNAP 5.1 it does work very well with the T2MI transponders on SES6 @ 40.5W. so did TNAP 3.2, 4.2 and even 6 worked with T2MI This said I don't think I ever came across any T2MI transponder on Ku band, even on fairly exotic satellites that I received while in Europe (but did...

    Edision mio+ 4K Tuner (?) issue

    1) Not even sure if I've ever been able to watch a t2mi channel here in the usa. When I do try to scan the tp's and get channels, they are black with no audio. Didn't check for encryption methods, etc. But the regular vix tuner driver scans lots in. Ex: <sat name="121.0W C-band Galaxy 31"...

Nah, TRG, you guy you. Nothing started. Interpretation maybe. I'm seeing a propensity. Trait? By a33 to draw to conclusions. Not here but on other places. I ain't good. Not the best. A bit of a smartass here and there. Got baited into heated and vile discussions and booted from forums. Been...

    technical question about 3D2LNBR0-02

I don't have access to that datasheet. It probably was a proprietary chip made for DirecTV, I suspect it is the heart of the SWM functionality, which under control of the DirecTV receiver, switches one transponder on a specific frequency, LHCP or RHCP on one of the three feedhorns to a...

TNAP 6 for Edision: Yes or No?

I concur with what you said about the blindscan only being accurate with the non-T2MI driver. In addition, unless it's changed from TNAP 5.1, the non-T2MI driver is the only one that doesn't randomly shut off the LNB power after a blind scan, or when coming out of standby. Nobody seems...

OTHER Need recommendation on multi-receiver switch

Then there's the DPP-44 dilemma. Conceptual probably. Running multiple FTA receivers all at once can be a pickle. If anyone has three single or twin tuner E2 receivers and wishes to try an experiment. Use client mode on the remote receivers. See if setting up the master receiver right and put it...

Latest Update at my Satellite Station

Congrats on getting your c band dish up! 😃 Rick's Satellite has the PR1200 dish mover. Not many options out there these days so maybe best to grab one while they are still available. https://www.rickssatelliteusa.com/pr1200.htm As far as cable goes I have used multi-conductor underground...

Latest Update at my Satellite Station

It's a slow night, so I thought I would share my newest toy at my satellite station. This is my 7.5-foot Perfect prime focus dish which I retrieved from rural Nova Scotia in 2012. I've never installed it until now. For the last few days, I've been manually pushing it between 139W through 87W to...

    SiriusXM S-band Reception

Thank you. The explanation that the entire SSL-1300 platform power of ~10KW is powering only a single transponder answers my question.

    SiriusXM S-band Reception

SiriusXM has repeaters only in some of the larger metropolitan areas. There are entire regions that aren't covered. Here's an older map (2010?): SiriusXM has reportedly shut down more than a few (if not all) of these repeaters since 2010. They obviously can't be serving Bozeman or Peoria...

    How does DPH work?

Fantastic information. Thanks a lot. However, I think you got your DPZ/DPX group labels backwards. DPZ appears to be for Hopper3s (owning to the 16 (18) simultaneous channels), DPX appears to be for the earlier Hopper1s, Wallys (single tuner), and Hopper2s (three tuners). Is that correct...

This is what I found. The Frequency ranges are confusing to me since I thought ALL Hoppers use up 3000 Mhz DPZ is older legacy equipment DPZ Frequency Range: 500MHz - 2150MHz Minimum 3GHz rated RG6 and components required from LNBF to Receiver Note: Tight bends in cable reduces the...

No Video on my Edision OS Mio+ 4k

Performance of a product like receivers in this hobby. Or obsession. How ever you look at it. Is a thing. Depends on how deep you get into it. Looking at Cybes reply. I think those improvements are actually more important here than there. Seriously. Since Europeans live off of fixed transponders...

Yet again! No horizontal on ses 1 at 101

Well...that sucks. You sound like a crafty gent. With your fancy spec. analyzer and all. okay, I confess. Me too, along with a bunch of other "stuff". But. So. It's only one transponder. And in a tight 4 degree window. Right? If you go to dishpointer.com and dial in your settings. Pinpoint your...
