Chrome good here after a ctrl/shift-refresh after the banner you put up earlier, just the occasional stalling others mentioned that lined up with other things you were doing per prior posts.

Is it legal to get TV and radio broadcasts from another country?

    Locals?

I have been traveling in my rv for two weeks and I am now back in my spotbeam area. How do I get my spotbeam locals back in the guide? I am on the 61.5 and 72 satellites.

Is it legal to get TV and radio broadcasts from another country?

The issue for consumers is more a matter of distributor contracts. The distributors aren't allowed to transmit content outside their area as established by their carriage agreements with the content owners.

I thought it was just me. Then I tried Edge and no problem. I'm still unable to post in Chrome. Doing this post in Edge. I also agree that in Chrome I have the long "clocking times" now too. Anyway, thanks Scott for posting this. Not sure what to do about Chrome but maybe if I wait it...

NOW IN STOCK: The first ATSC 3.0 converter box at a fair price

Something that promises to be part of a whole-home or DVR setup seems like a better investment in a world where one TV doesn't cover the household.

    Peacock TV

I only have it for exclusive Michigan Football and NFL Sunday Night, I can watch that OTA, but the picture quality (game is in real 1080P on Peacock.) is so much better.

Is it legal to get TV and radio broadcasts from another country?

Yes this article mixes up frequency assignments with other stuff. NA divvies up frequencies too just like Europe does otherwise stations would step all over each other. For a listener or viewer the question is if they can subscribe to a service from another country and thats about local laws but...

REAL-WORLD TESTING: Solid copper vs. copper-clad steel

Solid copper is expensive and unless you're using it for applications involving something other than RF signals (powering pre-amps, LNB assemblies), it is money down the drain. CCS or CCA is just fine for RF carriage.

Is it legal to get TV and radio broadcasts from another country?

Canadian law goes a long way to ensure that US TV content is not intentionally sold into Canada (outside of the obvious border areas). Regulations are on the distributors, not the viewers.

    Peacock TV

The stuff they have, is mostly available elsewhere, and isn't worth much more than "free" in the first place. The ONLY reason I was forced to get it, is because my wife wanted to continue watching "Days of our Lives" soap, which went streaming ONLY to Peacock over 1 year ago.

Do you need special cable in order to ground your equipment?

Because they are few and far between. Way to conflict with your own statements. Most UPSes moved to USB ten years ago. Ethernet is something I've seen in the last five years or so. DB9 is strictly a legacy feature as RS-232 is no longer well-supported (even KVMs are USB now). As someone who...

"Oops! we ran into some problems"

That may have been me working on the no reply issue. I forgot to clear one of the other caches. Need to make sure we got them all. I forget at times we use a total of 3 different CDN's for caching.

Yep, longer clocking times for things like that. I also see it.

I deleted my Satelliteguys.us cookie, AND refreshed my Firefox browser on my laptop. I now can reply to things, BUT, I still get a long clocking time when doing so. Much longer than normal that is.
