What do you mean? I have asthma and have no issues with microwaved popcorn. Ha! I liked Jiffy Pop popcorn as well and I'm not joking either. Predated the microwave bag and came out pretty well. Ah, to be young again.

    Star Trek Discovery

Well, yesterday's episode didn't advance the search much but I liked it anyhow. Martin-Green and Wiseman really did race to exhaustion to get the breathing right, but they did not dehydrate which was faked with some artful makeup. Blu del Barrio is again prominently featured on the show.

I really wanted to like that show; I really did. But there was only one good thing about it and it was Angela Cartwright.

    Newest H3 software.

Ah... I enabled PTAT but it records nothing since I don't sub to satellite locals. I can still get autohop to work on my OTA channels ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX, after a delay. Interesting. Shall I turn off PTAT or is this another happy accident like DishAnywhere playing off the EHD?

Would you believe the Ethernet connection in all our buildings went out? Now that is an upgrade gone horribly wrong! Anyhow, after wasting all morning, it's fixed and SG works fine without clearing anything.

    Hopper 3 H373 update 04/24/2024

Not sure this has been mentioned before but... On H373 I have seen the same movie recorded twice, possibly due to my own mistake, and they show up as they should on the same tile with a "2" in the lower right hand corner of the icon. But here's the change. Upon selecting the icon with a "2"...

Yup. This week (or was it last?) we have a that really confused the principal characters. I don't remember another ST episode in any series with such a thing.

1000.2 Dish W/Wally problems- signal finder meter advice please

And that's nowhere near our record which IIRC is 17 years before the resurrection.

"Oops! we ran into some problems"

I always use Firefox and I had no such problem right through the server move. I think you must have customized something that's preventing FF from getting here. I've had to clear my cache (just for SG) once or twice and it wasn't that bad. Just make sure you remember your password.

"Oops! we ran into some problems"

Well then why not call it "embed" rather than something that's a nautical term (to me)? (I know this isn't your fault CN. Just don't say "irregardless" or you'll get a stern look from me.)

"Oops! we ran into some problems"

I just saw an error 500 internal server error about 60 seconds ago.

Name a movie or TV line that is often misquoted.

"Play it again, Sam" was never heard in Casablanca. It was heard in Woody Allen's stage play and movie. The correct quote was "Play it once, Sam" and later "Play it, Sam."

Well, I'm enjoying it, but my wife dropped out after episode 2. Last night at least I did get her to watch The Chase with me. And from the lack of response from anybody else in the forum, I would guess I'm the only one watching it at this point.

    Return Customer

Well... Last night I was looking at a black screen for about 30 seconds before I gave up and toggled back again. :( Other than that, the H3 is pretty reliable these days.

    Return Customer

Speaking of which, I seem to be relatively free of bugs these days. When toggling back and forth between a recording and a live program, sometimes I am looking at a black screen. The picture comes back after maybe 5-10 seconds. But one thing Dish finally fixed was the accuracy when toggling...

    Google Maps

Oh. Didn't think that was a link. It shows me Fairfax (City), VA rather than my actual location. At least it's close. Seems so. The obvious solution is for navy to put in Fairfax, VA too, and then he too can enjoy the appearance of living in Fairfax City. ;)

    Google Maps

Yes, did that. No Location at all in the pop up. It just shows "Google Maps" but that's the thread title where I was last "seen". FF on W10. I don't browse SG on a phone.

I do not see this error and I'm in northern VA as well. I see nothing about Maps at all.

    Star Trek Discovery

Well, do you think we can mention a certain TNG episode, and one of my favorites, without spoiling the new S5? I personally don't mind spoilers and even sometimes enjoy them. But others hate that.

    Star Trek Discovery

It wasn't bad, other than this time the Dark Matter Anomaly was threatening the entire galaxy and everyone in it. Of course as usual Michael solves the problem almost by herself. With every season, bad things became more and more apocalyptic. I was afraid that Season 5 was going to have her...

    Hopper creating constant buzz?

I had one of those cigarette lighter-to-USB jacks (for charging phones) that put diagonal lines on my backup camera image! I couldn't believe my eyes because I thought the signal from the backup camera was digital. My installer coiled the extra cable under that cigarette lighter socket...
