Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

By what metric? I drove from Albuquerque to Las Vegas on Christmas Eve and Verizon had the entire drive covered. I have dual SIM's- one on TMO and the other on VZW. TMO dopped out several times and my Verizon SIM had to kick in. Verizon still reigns supreme in rural areas. Do I hate Verizon's...

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

Doesn't look good. They aren't talking about moving to KU backup feeds, either- https://www.newscaststudio.com/2025/12/30/c-band-deadline-pushes-broadcasters-toward-ip-based-distribution-systems/

Is This a Valid LNB Configuration for Two Hopper 3?

Yes, it's on all receivers. Both Hopper's report similar speeds when tested. A Tech was dropping off Joey 4 today so I showed it to him. He'd never seen that and said to call it in for tech support. Next time I'm bored, I might call it in.

    Festivus - Airing of Grievances

Retention agent with the direct line to the back end and God powers was able to get it done. They removed one H3, added J4, added H3 back in. Two H3s on an account wrecks the ability to add more receivers. Crazy 🤪 Two H3s and a Joey 4 are now online and working as expected, except for the...

    Cold weather signal loss

25 year old. Do you mind posting a pic of it? (If you can see it well). I haven't seen the new "Dish 500" and I'm curios what it looks like.

    Cold weather signal loss

Talking about the new 500? They don't need 3 positions anymore, at least on WA, so being back to 110/119 it's back to 500 as all the dish that is needed, but they're now offering a new twin (beyond the HDD Twin) for the hopper era. I say "offering," but I think they're thus far restricting it to...

    Cold weather signal loss

Parabolic reflectors haven't changed much since Heinrich Hertz first used one to demonstrate the existence of radio waves in 1888. The LNBF set they hung on it is a whole different story.

Well, Dish put up a whole new dish today. Basically a 500. Twenty year old technology. We'll see how it goes.

I used radial-taper crimping, which could possibly be considered compressive as it leaves a seamless, tapered crimp that resists moisture intrusion if has o-ring.. Most others were using some kind of multi-part fitting with a plastic center. I don't even know what to call those. Compression?
