    dc blocker location in amplified antenna setup

    Why do you need a DC blocker? The OTA adapter does not carry any current up to the antenna. I simply have my adapter that plugs into a USB port on the back of the Hopper, an insertion adapter to send DC voltage up to the pre-amp then the antenna. The power inserter should not send any DC voltage...

    while i agree.. but that's not how it started out!!! they started out just by changing the numbers and letter on the stickers.. but under the hood it was the same tv!!! who knows when they started cutting corners

    Not too far from me. If it was for free, and I happened to be going near, I possibly would pick it up along with its accessories. But...it mainly belongs in a museum somewhere. I assume it's an analogue sat receiver therefore couldn't be used.

    love my AVA cinema remote it runs everything:). and it runs the android os. it can do ir but devices on my network ip controlled devices. no pc needed to set the thing up :). who knows what logitechs support will be like in the future :mad:

    USA 4K on DISH

    148-04 is the USA 4K channel for the Olympics On a Hopper 3. But a Hopper with Sling does not support 4K. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So .... is it still cheaper ... ? Costco did away with the addl extended warranties on a lot of electronics a while back, have they brought it back I don't know.

    Costco units will have a C in it where the regular model will not ... I'm sure Walmart and otherrs have thier own deals too.
