Not really...atleast on the border..American stations sell advertising for Canadian viewers and vice versa....yes they require Canadian stations to carry x amount of Canadian programming but most Canadian cable and satellite companies carry American TV stations and on the border American cable...

I like the apps called SatFinder Lite and Satellite Director on my phone. The first uses augmented reality to allow you hold your smartphone to the sky and "see" the satellite arc on your phone. Again, these free apps aren't the most accurate but they give a sense of what satellite you can receive.

Based on my experience, definitely better to call. Do you mind disclosing the amount of the discount you're receiving? I just realized I misstated mine -- it's $55, not $50.

A good resolution to this: Received a call from a very nice person at the "Office of the President" in response to my BBB complaint. She was able to restore my account back to the way it was before I attempted to remove the locals.
