Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

I agree with this - they have so much legacy content that is NOT on the service that costs them zero dollars to provide, even taking into account residuals. It's all already digitized as it was released on various DVD formats back in the day, so it just feels overly lazy at this point.

Are you planning to upgrade to the iPhone 15

I shot quite a bit of 3D video with the iphone 15 Pro Max last weekend on the cruise. I really put it to the test. Compatible 3D that can be viewed on traditional 3D TV sets that were popular about 10 years ago can be viewed and the 3D depth is very accurate. Apple really did a great job...

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

The story was not about content being cut for Plus, it was about cutting what is on Disney Owned Paid Live TV Channels, which includes the former Fox owned Channels. Disney+ just had their first profitable quarter. Other studios have also announced no more or reduced new scripted shows on...

    Its TEAM SUMMIT week!

This is why I didn't want to go, especially on your dime. My friend did say that most things announced were Boost related. Most DISH dealers cant even sell Boost.

🥱 Seems like another unexciting Team Summit, judging by the posts so far today.

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

This is now why I only subscribe to Disney Plus 2 months a year. Nothing new to watch, so I cancel and when they do add new stuff I can watch it the next time I subscribe. But nothing to keep me as a subscriber for day to day. If they wanted to keep me, they should add the full disney cartoon...

Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

Hulu is profitable, but no growth upside, since the vast majority of content on there is licensed for the United States only. Some in Canada also.

Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

I'm in the minority, I think, but I kinda like the name. For once, the name actually tells me what the service is. I would have also liked Hulu Sports, but I don't think the others want to inflate the value of a Disney-owned brand name. I also wonder how long Hulu is for this world.

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

I feel like we're so close to this already. Cable/sat are getting first run shows, but only so they can immediately be put on streaming 24 hours later. Almost everyone's in the DVR crowd now, so whereas you used to DVR something to watch on the weekends, it'll be on streaming pretty immediately...

satellite. hence why airplane movements disrupt the signal (often). I think Southwest does something different, as they deliver live tv over personal device via wifi and their app. I am actually not sure how they do it.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Right. And in the interim the banks interest is ensuring Dish doesn't play a shell game with assets to devalue their investment or diminish the plummeting value of what collateral they have left. “Through a brazen series of related transactions,” billions of dollars of assets were transferred...

    House of the Dragon

Economics are playing hell with all TV productions, especially Cable/Network Shows. With advertising so down, cord cutting ( loss of per sub fees) and yet, the cost to produce a show is still going up, have to cut back on something, episodes is one of those options. A lot of returning shows ...
