I didn't realize others did this as well. Previously I have only done a streaming service if I could get a great deal, usually a Black Friday deal, and these were always for a full year with ads. This is my first time trying an ad-free service.
I know this isn't happening because of how the channels are setup, whether it be a technical or a contractual piece with channel providers. But I thought Dish would do something where all the national satellite channels would have a streaming versions 1000 channels higher. So if you went to...
A variety of tech sites have found some of these "piracy" streaming boxes to be full of malware out of the box that you wouldn't want on your home network. e.g. https://www.tomsguide.com/news/thousands-of-android-tv-boxes-infected-with-dangerous-malware-linked-to-fraud
I find this is typical of other "ad-free" service plans from AppleTV, Peacock, Disney+, etc. Seems pretty consistent across the industry that promos for other content on a given platform are not considered ads, despite what customers may think.
Incredible deflation from this episode. A lot of firsts, between the triple fountains, what appeared to be an explosion as the south vent surged and the subsequent loss of the V3 camera.

Inside knowledge! Permitted. If the diseases don't get you, the leaves will. Feet up; enjoy the satellites. Can't believe the number of 4', 6', 10' C-band dishes here, even for apartments.
But thank God for the Youtube people that post videos on how to fix appliances and such. They have literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. We are still running a 21~ year old Maytag washer because of that, that would otherwise have been junked 3 years ago. Could I have fixed my stuff without...
Same with me. The first time they went live and I had like 692 (maybe more!) posts suddenly showing in the "What's New" list, I zapped it all. I have no desire to see any of that.
I've had them hidden since day one as well, and they have never re-appeared for me. YouTube 'influencers' are nothing more than grifters and attention you-know-whats. The extremely small amount of people who I follow on YouTube do not do it as their sole form of income (if any at all) and have...
I have a nephew that lives there. I'm bleary eyed right now due to a bad respiratory infection. I stupidly didn't wear a mask when I last did leaves two weeks ago, and it got me bad. Black lung. I can't count the dishes. I'm on a steroid and a Z-pack
