NECO is really probably supposed to be "RECO" short for "RECOVERY" mode... Just a mistake, or due to the way the display works making the first character look like an N.

I think the receiver when it boots into recovery menu and you see NECO on the display just press OK on remote twice it should boot into slot one and the display should change to numbers or dashes once booted. IF no picture still then I'd say hardware failure.

I checked the HDMI ports on the TV and receiver, they are both fine. What I don't understand is that when I hit the menu button the correct menu came up. It was when I went to scroll down to what I wanted is when the video went dark. I was positive I hit the down arrow, but now I am not sure...

Well if see the Octagon logo then HDMI is set to the correct input. Black screen with NECO on the display is not normal. I don't know what it could be.

Do you mean make sure the hdmi is secure at the TV and the receiver? I don't understand what you mean by "Tv hdmi port is set?" The Octagon logo comes on the TV during the start of the reboot and then it goes black when NECO comes on the receiver.

Yes when you see NECO on the display you should be seeing the recovery menu on the screen. You sure your Tv hdmi port is set? didn't get changed. Try another TV if you can.

Ok, I've heard on Reddit that anybody that canceled their $19.99/yr Black Friday special and it expired, you can contact Peacock via their live chat messaging system and ask IF you can also get the $39.99/yr special that was offered to others when they canceled. Even IF you didn't get that...

Or you can use a VPN and watch it on Netflix from Canada, which is how I am going to do it. I do it for RAW and Smackdown that way and many times it is commercial free. You get to see other interviews, or the matches continue during the commercial breaks.

That worked, I got it to show UPdt on the receiver. Do I do anything more or just wait for something else to happen? UPDATE: I got UPdt to come up and after a few seconds it showed "neco" on the receiver. After that nothing happens. Should the menu show on the TV or what?

ours is going on 4 months old no issues i am sure we have a newer version we got ours from solid signal

why do they still put the smart card slots on em 🤔. they say it's there for upgrades can't they do that via the sats or the internets🤔

try recording with a duo when two tv's are being used :rolleyes: even a hopper with sling is cut throat unless for a single person with one tv... the hopper 3 is the way to go it's upgradeable and expandable if need be. never any recording conflicts :)
