Better get Netflix for NFL on Xmas

By the way, speaking of profitable and unprofitable, found this from 2002- This summer, the company's Fox broadcast network reversed its ratings slide of recent years with its hit program ''American Idol.'' While the network is still unprofitable, the unit's operating loss narrowed to $8...

Been with dish for 12 years - needed faster hardware!

Yeah, I’ve heard the 722 is fast and ppl who have it don’t want to change it. I’m not sure if my Hopper from 2012 was that slow when I first got it? I don’t remember anymore. I’m sure it slowed down over the years. And my HDD was about 77% full, so it’s not like it was filled to the max.

Better get Netflix for NFL on Xmas

I am pretty positive there was a Netflix in 2023. And there you go, trying to pick up the ball from the bundle guy, who took off after he never could proof anything he posted, gave a goodbye post, that basically said he was leaving because nobody believed him. Yes streaming is still growing...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Exactly... Our twin daughters are 56, and one streams everything she watches, works at home doing medical billing/auditing with two screens open on her desktop plus her laptop also sits on her desk, all with multiple windows open. And she has a bunch of apps on her phone that she uses regularly...

    New Install, new equipment?

Which will cost a extreme amount of money to switch over one side to another. Another reason way it may never happen. The other factor against it, if Dish bought/merged with it, DirecTV is still carrying about $10 Billion of debt, add that to Dish/echostar’s debt of $19 Billion /future...

    New Install, new equipment?

Or else a combined service would need to operate dual systems. Did they merge because they were losing subs? Back in the day, there were separate VHF & UHF "markets"- with just 12 VHF channels (no ch.1) and need to not slot adjacent in same area, the bigger urbs which were assigned slots first...

You will love the H3. It is fast and minimal lag. And you might find yourself enjoying the 16 tuners. Glad Dish hooked you up and you got a new promotional offer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

UPDATED: How to factory-reset your DIRECTV Genie Client or Gemini

I’m not sure why you would need to… but if you did need to, I’ll tell you how to do it. Remember that these devices are non-transferrable so you can’t sell them or even give them away, and it’s hard to imagine a client needing to get so messed up that you couldn’t find a way around it. But...

Been with dish for 12 years - needed faster hardware!

I've been with dish for 11 years, and I just can't seem to switch to streaming yet. My tv is on ALL day and it's on the news, the science channel, natgeo, or some other science show or motortrend. Due to it being on all day and night, satellite is just easier. I currently pay $156 for the Top...

    Need Information & Advice

First, doubtful the salesperson was from Dish, maybe a local operation. Second, get the prices in writing, while there are some savings for being a new customer, they are not usually that high between the two companies. Then check with Dish, either online or call, to see if the prices are...

Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

It is like they were going to call it Venus, then decided not to name it after a women's razor brand, and did the lazy thing and dropped the "s".

Another option is to purchase some broadband over powerline adapters from Amazon. They turn your home electrical wiring into a LAN and then you connect to the adapters using an Ethernet line.

CN has a good question. Multiple LNBs are only normally required on a fixed dish. One exception might be if you want to have both C-band and Ku-band LNBs on the same motorized dish (see photo below). I find in practice it's best just to change out the C-band and Ku-band LNBs so you can receive...

It's also a VERY good idea to keep all your posts about a particular subject in the SAME thread. Otherwise it's very difficult to follow what you are doing, and IF you've already been told something or not.

It looks like both of your dishes are motorized; why would you want to mount multiple LNB's?
