    New Install, new equipment?

Or else a combined service would need to operate dual systems. Did they merge because they were losing subs? Back in the day, there were separate VHF & UHF "markets"- with just 12 VHF channels (no ch.1) and need to not slot adjacent in same area, the bigger urbs which were assigned slots first...

Been with dish for 12 years - needed faster hardware!

You will love the H3. It is fast and minimal lag. And you might find yourself enjoying the 16 tuners. Glad Dish hooked you up and you got a new promotional offer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

UPDATED: How to factory-reset your DIRECTV Genie Client or Gemini

I’m not sure why you would need to… but if you did need to, I’ll tell you how to do it. Remember that these devices are non-transferrable so you can’t sell them or even give them away, and it’s hard to imagine a client needing to get so messed up that you couldn’t find a way around it. But...

Been with dish for 12 years - needed faster hardware!

I've been with dish for 11 years, and I just can't seem to switch to streaming yet. My tv is on ALL day and it's on the news, the science channel, natgeo, or some other science show or motortrend. Due to it being on all day and night, satellite is just easier. I currently pay $156 for the Top...

    Need Information & Advice

First, doubtful the salesperson was from Dish, maybe a local operation. Second, get the prices in writing, while there are some savings for being a new customer, they are not usually that high between the two companies. Then check with Dish, either online or call, to see if the prices are...

Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

It is like they were going to call it Venus, then decided not to name it after a women's razor brand, and did the lazy thing and dropped the "s".

Another option is to purchase some broadband over powerline adapters from Amazon. They turn your home electrical wiring into a LAN and then you connect to the adapters using an Ethernet line.

    Multiple LMB options

CN has a good question. Multiple LNBs are only normally required on a fixed dish. One exception might be if you want to have both C-band and Ku-band LNBs on the same motorized dish (see photo below). I find in practice it's best just to change out the C-band and Ku-band LNBs so you can receive...

    Multiple LMB options

It's also a VERY good idea to keep all your posts about a particular subject in the SAME thread. Otherwise it's very difficult to follow what you are doing, and IF you've already been told something or not.

    Multiple LMB options

It looks like both of your dishes are motorized; why would you want to mount multiple LNB's?

    Multiple LMB options

Team, Is anyone currently using multiple LMB’s on there FTA KU dish setup’s? Can anyone educate me on what the options would be for the mid east coast in the lower 48? Didn’t want to buy the extra equipment just to find out there are no combinations available. Thanks

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

I have pointed this out before, my step father is 78 this year, streams everything, always has the newest cell phone (knows how to use it also), computer, tablet, etc. Age has nothing to do with it, it is just a issue with those who do not wish to learn, but that is usually not a age issue...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Streaming will be the next senior seminar deal. 722 here as well. Uninterested in hopper, which probably contributed to my getting out of satellite dealing. My focus was on whole-house systems where there didn't need to be a receiver box at every TV set, or at any set.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Similar aged MIL also has no problem with YTTV and really likes the price compared to Xfinity's live tv pricing. She also qualified for the ACP for her internet. With that subsidy ending we found Xfinity offered internet for only $10/month (including modem/router).Granted it's only 50 mbps but...

    New Install, new equipment?

The problem with a Direct and Dish merger is the equipment is completely incompatible so all subscribers of one service will need to be transitioned over to the other.

    New Install, new equipment?

My H3 went out and ish replaced it with a refurbiahed H3. It has a sticker on it that says refurbished. In over a year , it has functioned perfectly. Plus, if it goes out, Dish can replace it again.

Kyle Larson/Stock Car fans certain Larson has already won this, forget having rookie of race locked up. They never heard of Linus Lundquist and Marcus Armstrong.
