NBA’s new TV Deal looks to go to Streaming

This is almost over and for Warner, looks like they are not part of the new agreement- The NBA is formalizing written contracts with Disney, NBC and Amazon this week, with sources calling it the final stage of media rights negotiations that may inevitably lead incumbent Warner Bros. Discovery...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

The LA market is a big MAINLY, probably take, at least, a billion or more for the entire metro area. But if Dish/Echostar does finish those three markets, should get them to the 75% they have to be at next summer.

    NFL 2024-2025 Season

We have been posting about the new service since February 6, in the Cord Cutters forum, where that post should be. https://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/warner-fox-disney-to-launch-streaming-sports-joint-venture.408454/

    NFL 2024-2025 Season

For the NBC games, you just need Peacock, at the lowest tier (with Commercials) you get the exclusive games and the NBC games, along with NBC content (tv shows)on next day, at the highest tier, you get a livestream of your local NBC station. The other benefit , the NBC SNF game looks so much...

    Its TEAM SUMMIT week!

...you say forget it, cancel everything. Another problem with legacy services, is they make everything a total PITA, like cancellation, where the CSR ****** the customer off so much ( like demanding the LNB off the Dish to be sent back) it guarantees that customer will never come back. I have...

Peacock, Netflix, Apple TV bundle price

I have no issue with bundling, as long as the services are still available separately as well. I bundle Hulu, Disney and ESPN+ myself, it is a great deal at $25 a month. But when you limited it to only one provider, Comcast and only the with commercials version, it become a big nothing for the...

Peacock, Netflix, Apple TV bundle price

Only available to Comcast customers and the ad-supported versions only, so a big nothing.

Better get Netflix for NFL on Xmas

Do you mean the locals only deal that Comcast offers, where they then add the broadcast channels fee to it, plus the other fees and taxes, makes it then more then YTTV? Why? All I have wrote, it is ignorance to believe rules/laws cannot be changed.

    How things have changed

No, it was another complaint post about streaming, this time about Netflix and how you do not like the majority of shows on there.

    How things have changed

So you just want to put down streaming for the 1000th time and then not defend your incorrect statement? First, you are missing the point on what Mike posted about TBS and TNT, which is they are no longer producing or showing new scripted content, which is the same for a lot of cable channels...

    Young Sheldon

I am still peeved that Big Bang Theory ended, Jim Parsons gave up an increase in salary to $30 Million a year, only working 3 days a week, read though, rehearsal, filming. When that kind of money comes your way for 3 days of work and 24 weeks, you do not quit, especially in an industry like...

    Young Sheldon

The strike shortened season is the reason for that, they had 22 episodes mapped/planned out, including one with the hopeful return of Paige and Sheldon being in Germany longer, but just not enough episodes. Sheldon said in the voiceover towards the end of Season 6, that Missy became a total...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

I really doubt the creditors would not agree to something, but it depends on what that something is if they make a deal.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

And a extremely more complicated then a Personal Bankruptcy. Also possible Charlie could lose control since he just owns shares now. Also have to get the Creditors to agree on a deal to bring the company out of Chapter 11. Might need a major investor also, because the company will need cash...

Looks like Physical Movie Rental are almost gone

The last main one, Redbox, is having Revenue issues due to not enough people renting disc anymore. They put themselves up for sale last October, no takers. By the way, I still do purchase some movies on 4K Disc, be sad to see it go, but technology moves forward...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

I did, hence why I left paid Live TV, when the ABC Prime Time Schedule came out for next Fall, where it showed only 5.5 hours (out of 21 hours) of new scripted content, that means it is officially over, fat lady is screaming, streaming has won, just have a few more years until it is all over of...

    Its TEAM SUMMIT week!

I have to ask……why? Live Pay TV is still profitable ( revenue is shrinking every year, but still profitable), but Dish (and everyone else) is running out of time to fix it. Boost Mobile has been nothing but failed launches ( the Post Paid debacle) and has lost 1.7 Million since Dish had taken...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Big Business is considered political, because of all that comes with it, profits, taxes, jobs, outsourcing, support by one party over another. It is also quite hypocritical to criticize, since he uses big business, along with the negatives that comes with it as he describes, in his daily life...

Apple Event - May 7, 2024 (New iPads!)

And what have you done that would be considered a innovation these days? Amazing how some will criticize a company with a $2.9 Trillion Market Cap, yet cannot explain what they could or have done better. It is easy to criticize, not so easy to provide a solution. By the way, enjoying my new...
