    Why does dish network down convert some channels to SD?

    What aspect ratio do they present them in? PBS itself transmits the national feeds of its SD channels (Create, World, and First Nations Experience) in widescreen. With adequate bandwidth to make them look good, of course.

    Good question. The proper measure is the horizontal dimension from edge to edge. Sometimes sellers are quoting the vertical dimension.

    Is that dish truly 39" from edge to edge? I bought a 39" inch dish on eBay a while ago but turned out the actual size of it is 34" from edge to edge.

    Why does dish network down convert some channels to SD?

    I have the Jade TVB International package and on some channels, there are SD and HD versions, I prefer the SD versions when recording to the DVR as it allows me to record more. Some have streaming version of the channel as well.

    Thanks, I encountered it recently once or twice after I didn't watch 4 days worth of recordings. The free space was always 119GB or 120GB.

    Hopper+ Software P12901 is out. Manually updated the Hopper+ by manual Check Updates on the About menu from P12803 to P12901.
