    How things have changed

Wrong thread. This is the savings account interest thread. ;) I think I read an article about that issue with Netflix. Though, I agree that Prime seems oddly hard to find where the Prime stuff even is. But all of these services suffer from a difficulty with browsing content. Heck, Netflix could...

OTA ( Broadcast Channels) relies on advertising and per sub fees from Paid Live TV. Advertising Revenues for Broadcast ( and Cable Channels) are half what it was in 2019 ( then $60 Billion, now $30 Billion). Per Sub fees are 30 Million households less then 2017 ( then 100 Million, now 70 Million).

Can you use 18" actuator on a 10ft dish if you only need to access 0°W - 100°W?

I would wonder what choices are even on the market anymore for big-dish arms. It seems I went through them all when I was a dealer, looking for one that would hold up. That was always a big service call cause- bad actuator. Anyway, as far as how much stroke, that all depends on your mount...

Can you use 18" actuator on a 10ft dish if you only need to access 0°W - 100°W?

I would avoid the cheapo actuators on Amazon. They quote an IP rating but do they provide proof of it? I bought one of those several years ago to motorize the lift on my tractor's snow blower. It lasted maybe three snows before water intrusion killed it. Lesson learned! ;) As far as running the...

    Dang it…

I was going to write a post tomorrow that we went an entire month with no down time. And then we had downtime. But it wasn’t us or the server. That’s humming along great. The issue was with a switch at our data center. All is fixed by them and working fine once again. Sent from my...

Every year, streaming prices go up. The one thing not mentioned, so does paid Live TV Services, so the difference in price between them remains the same.

Can you use 18" actuator on a 10ft dish if you only need to access 0°W - 100°W?

I'll pipe in. First. Good photos of your current setup will help a lot. You should also state the sensor type you might currently use. Reed, hall, optical, potentiometer? And. Skimping on actuator quality will only exercise the disposable income concept. AKA: buy once, cry once. Not saying that...

Scott, Just spotted the rearrangement of the forums. I'd be okay with you collapsing the RabbitEars Site Support forum into the larger OTA forum given how little use it gets. - Trip

Product Comparison: DIRECTV via Satellite, DIRECTV via Internet, and DIRECTV STREAM

The app doesn't handle RSNs like satellite does, instead you get RSN streams tailored to your account's zip code, so subscribing to Extra Innings, League Pass or Center Ice doesn't open up the out of market games on the RSN and 4K streams. It's also why signal saver doesn't work with most of...

Trying to Find professional services for C Band LNB maintenance in Northern Cal

Does anyone know of any professional services that will service an LNB and or point a 12 foot dish to its proper satellite.
