Hyper Casey good news! We were able to get the Amiko h.265 to lock 12027 V 360 with your new firmware. We haven't been able to get it to scan in the WPR feeds; still working on that.

Not only that, but we discovered last night that it helps a lot if the dish and LNB are really "dialed in," as it seems the stronger the signal, the easier the receiver scans it in. That might seem to go without saying, but compared to normal video feeds with higher symbol rates, the Edision...

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I'm using a Maverick PLL LNB for the low SR feeds. This guy is selling them for less than $15.88 free shipping: https://www.ebay.com/itm/166224718076

We watch ROAR a lot in this household (not available on C-band but the east coast feed does livestream) plus a couple local stations for news

Thanks, it's been years since I used one of those receivers and I had forgotten this was an option.

    OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

I have not tried it yet.

    OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

The V9 can go down to SR 300, but WPR at 360 is the lowest I've been able to snag so far. That being said, the dish is fixed on 99. Once the motor is installed, I'll try some low SR feeds on other satellites as well.

V9 Prime receiver does support U.S. CC!!

    Yep, it works well!

Good grief. If they are trying to confuse customers, they're doing a great job.

I have seen some posts elsewhere that one of the GTMedia "Combo" receivers can lock low symbol rate feeds, but I'm not willing to drop the money to test one out. I find it difficult to ascertain which of GTMedia's receivers support this feature (and which do not). I started a thread on their...

cyberham were you ever able to tune low symbol rates on your Edision with this driver? I ask because we have acquired one from Spain and will be looking to configure it later this week. Also, which image do you use most (or prefer)?

    OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

You have to add NA satellites manually; at least I had to on mine. There is a GTMedia forum for software/hardware support.

ATSC 3.0 Pivots from TV to Data

This was bound to happen. No mandate, encryption/DRM, it's killing off OTA. The FCC would have to step in and do something soon, or, like TNGuy84 said, they might as well throw in the towel and sell off the rest of the spectrum. Sad.

This is WAY off topic, but since we have so many ABQ-area folks here, is there ANY restaurant in town (or in Santa Fe) that serves Tex-Mex? You know, a place where you get a big bowl of chips, salsa, white queso, and they serve stuff like enchiladas covered in cream cheese, nachos with shredded...
