31 must be low-powered. The signal is much weaker than the VHF 7 signal, but I still can receive it clearly. I used to receive 24 clearly before the repack, now it is terrible. It is the only channel that got worse in the repack.
Of course not. If you care to inform yourself, there are real-world stats, test results, demonstrations, etc. all available now if you look for them. Or you can just ignore it now and wait until it rolls out. No excitement required.
Be patient, tests are ongoing in a few cities. Real-world stats will come. Early adopters will start posting their experiences later this year and next. Hopefully it will be ready for the masses by 2022.
This guy drove around Baltimore comparing a full-power ATSC 1.0 broadcast and a low-power ATSC 3.0 broadcast. The 1.0 was constantly breaking up, but the 3.0 was rock-solid the whole time.
Will a lower frequency within the UHF band help any? I have a channel now at 44 with marginal reception. It is moving to 16, might this improve my reception?
LPB2 is PBS Kids now.
LPB3 is also changed, it may be a mix of Encore and Create but I am not sure yet.
LPB4 does not exist.
Some of my favorite programs that used to be on LPB2 are not listed anywhere now.
I fixed it. Turns out I needed to swap out the yellow card for a purple card. When did these purple cards come? I found it in a pile of old mail, but I don't remember getting it.
