How did you change your LNB LO frequency setting by 5 MHz? My receiver has fixed choices only for LO frequency for C-band. When locked, reception is stable. I'm using a C1-PLL. As the signal C/N drops, then the lock fails once below minimum C/N. This is normal operation.

Your larger dish would likely compensate. In your case, you would need to graph your C/N values over several days/nights against measured temperature to see if there's any correlation. It's easier in my case since it's more noticeable. I lose a solid lock during the day but right now at 9 pm...

Some of the C-band tps are so strong like on 105W or 117W, you could probably prop that dish up on a chair, point it in the right direction, hook a cable and receive something.

I have a V7S5X and decided to buy a V9 Prime also. There probably aren't a lot of practical reasons for me to have bought it. For the low cost of the new receiver, I just wanted to try something new. The V9 Prime's capability to lock low SR transponders seems better than my V7S5X.

I can lock it using the V9 with GSP SL1PLL LNB. It's actually your former LNB. It's the Family Life radio channel. It plays fine.

I find on 99W that after I peak on Montana PBS or PBS that I must bump the dish two bumps to the west to peak the Nexstar channels. Same phenomenon on 101W C. METV is peaked a touch to the west of other tps. Once you know then no problem.

In the Antenna Setup menu, set Motor Type to USALS. Then click USALS and enter your latitude/longitude coordinates in the window that opens. You must select USALS for each satellite, but you only enter your coordinates one time.

With this method, and a temporary portable tripod, you can try a fixed dish to check for sure which satellites are receivable from a particular site. This is the way you can know for sure.

The free apps I have tried can be inaccurate but if used only as a general indication of where satellites are then they are useful. The one I use most is Satfinder Lite from droidwareuk. It's in the Google Store. Maybe the pay version would even be worth it at only $11.99. I've been up Signal...

Swapping in the GeosatPro SL1PLL to replace the Invacom didn't change things for receiving WPR. I can receive WPR well on the V9 Prime with either LNB. But I can only see an indication of a signal but no lock on WPR with the Edision Mio+ using either LNB.

I'm going to swap out right now my Invacom QPH-031 with a GeosatPro SL1PLL just to see if the additional PLL stability helps locking low SR tps.
