I agree with you on most of your observations...just don't call Asians "Orientals", unless you want your butt kicked! ;) Objects are "oriental"...people are "Asian". I'm not Asian myself, but figured I'd offer some free advice. :)

Is that still the case, even if you have the "Protection Plan"?

That is...unless you have a service plan. With a service plan, you wouldn't have your contract extended with a receiver replacement and/or upgrade. Only if you modify your program package.

As far as I know, the Protection Plan covers at least the "leased" receivers. I had one D-10 and one H20-100 (both leased) and am keeping the plan "just in case". ;)

Sorry for the repeat thread...I just realized that this might have been posted a week ago... I must have missed that... I had followed the series when it first ran, but hope that it continues on HDNet...Spike is running it as well, but NOT in 1080i and not as nearly as great PQ as HDNet.

I watched a Jets game a few weeks ago that ran on NFLHD and my local CW channel in New York and I think the PQ was slightly better on the CW broadcast, as the the 5.1 audio. It was pretty close in PQ though.

Has anyone noticed whether CIHD is editing language? I could swear that while watching "Philly" that the word "bitch" was edited out.

Just watched the Mets/Bucs game. Looks like they've got the 5.1 figured out. Heard the crowds from the rear speakers, announcers from the front/center, plus front right and left.

Understood...but they are broadcasting in 5.1, so the potential is there. For the record...I am getting front right, center, and left. Voices mostly from center speaker.

I've been a fan of YES for the past 40 years. "Yes Live at Montreux" has decent HD DTS sound and GREAT HD PQ. It's also a great concert during a great tour that I caught at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. If you look hard enough, you can get it for anywhere between $12.99 and $19.99. Well worth...
