    ESPN NY has AM and FM . They have some local programming, notably the #1 afternoon sports show, though it may have been eclipsed by now. We have an ESPN FM *only* in Hartford (WUCS) - go figure!

    No. This "lighthouse" setup starts the 5-year clock for the participating channels. At some point >= 5 years in the future, WVIT's OTA signal itself goes to ATSC3 (or they sell off spectrum and co-host).

    This is an EXCELLENT point, especially as i have VHF7 and 10 in play. I've been flip-flopping on whether to raise height, or raise distance from obstacles. You may have sealed it for me. Now i have to see if i can jerryrig my old Winegard TR-3535 dish mount with a higher pole.

    There used to be something called a "Bullseye" DBS mount which would be everloving perfect. I think the guy who built these went out of biz long ago though.

    Yeah - getting closer here. The challenge, though, is finding the attachment to the roof rack. Seems crazy that there aren't more generic connections for these things. Inspiration for now is something like this, minus the suction cup mount:

    Problem with a tire mount is that you need a much longer pole in your setup. Something mounted on the roof rack makes it much smaller/more portable.

    The last time i did anything on my account, i found the "chat" feature was more efficient than calling. If "moving" goes away, so does my DirecTV service. it's a no brainer in my market.

    In for me. My Extend is long in the tooth, and transcoding hasn't really yielded me too many benefits, especially recently.
