    Direct TV gets their guide data from tribune media, AKA the zap2it website, and it does indeed tag shows with "new" in addition to the original air date. So the data is already there. Direct just needs to use it.

    I hope that's incorrect. It would be a deal breaker for me. I stay with dish for the cheaper packages(dish america) and if I have to pay more in order to get the receiver I want I may have to consider switching providers as there would no longer be a value here.

    I won't need the 722 so dropping it is exactly what I plan to do. And while I do have OTA on the tivo I haven't found any channels on it worth having that I can't get on dish. PQ difference is minor.
