    Radio website and app

Don't know exactly where to post this. HI guys, as a former shortwave listener I have been trying to do SDR for about a year now, and came across a website and app that for me at least made it obsolete. it is called Radio Garden. I know it sounds weird, but it really is a world wide radio...

HI guys, as a former shortwave listener I have been trying to do SDR for about a year now, and came across a website and app that for me at least made it obsolete. it is called Radio Garden. I know it sounds weird, but it really is a world wide radio app that loads 10's of thousands of...

Changes on KMCI-TV & KSHB-TV in Kansas City, MO

I saw the changes and begin to wonder if any of the national programming executives ever bother to see what is being offered in a particular market they are about to enter. With the changes in Kansas City that leaves us with 3 full power channels of "Court TV" not counting "Court Mysteries and...

    Comcast/Peacock vs Roku

I am using the Flex, and have to admit I am impressed by the content. Not only can you access NBC programing, but view live sports, Watched the Royals play the other night, without an MLB sub. And can watch Premier League Soccer through it. I paid for NBC Gold for that last year. Since I...

    New antenna and loving it!

Just replaced a massive ( at least 6 feet long) stacked 2 tier channelmaster UHF antenna with a little Televes Dinova Bos Mix UHF.VHF amplified antenna. I am about 40 miles from the towers in Kansas City, but the new antenna picked up more than 20 additional channels. With my old channel...

    KCDN adding new channels?

I just did a rescan of Kansas City area stations and KCDN channel 35.1 is now showing 35.2, 35.3, 35.4 as color test patterns. 35.1 is Daystar, I was wondering if anyone in the KC area is seeing the same thing? And if anyone else that has a Daystar TV channels that shows any other channels I...

    What's up with Stirr TV?

I have to say when it first started I though Stirr TV was going to be great. They now advertize 100 channels, but more often than not when I log onto their Roku Channel, and hit channel list for the program guide I get maybe 5. The channel list shows what's on 2 or 3 channels then blanks out...

    R.I.P MHz Worldview

KMOS 6.3 is changing from MHZ to EMERGE and looks like it will carry many of the same type of international programs. The data stream sent to my TV has already renamed the channel.

Recommendations for Smaller Deep Fringe Antennas

I got it at a local store called Cargo Largo... it was about $50.00 bucks. I hear you Primestar... I am a cord cutter from way back. Trust me I had to be honest about the "going price" . Cargo Largo is a overstock and reclaimed merchandise place in Kansas City. So if you catch them on the...

Recommendations for Smaller Deep Fringe Antennas

The best indoor antenna I have found is an Antop 800SBS and I have tried alot. They are a bit large for indoors and pricy but I find it rivals my outdoor roof mounted antenna. I have one on the walk out wall of my basement sitting on top of 2 stacked tv trays, and pick up all the major Kansas...

    KSMO-TV adds Cozi TV & Circle to channels 62.4 & 62.5.

Is anyone beside me tired of Court TV? The smart programming guys for the Kansas City Market now are broadcasting the identical feed on WDAF-4.3 and on KMCI 38.4. You would think the money would be in providing an additional income stream by picking up a DIFFERENT channel. I mean I get...

DABL is coming to KSMO TV 62 .3 . I e-mailed Kimberly Edney, the National Programming Coordinator for KCTV 5 AND KMOS-62 in Kansas City, and asked about the rumors. Her response was it is coming! They are waiting for some equipment. No launch date was set but she was hoping for a couple of...

Looks like KQML may be going live soon

I think most of the stations that have to move go through a period of lower power output. And some of the low powered channels like the ones we are discussing have told me if they get bumped by the FCC they don't always have the money to make the changes. If I am reading rabbit ears right...

Looks like KQML may be going live soon

I think this is a great thing. According to Rabbit Ears, KQML is running at the same tower height as KCMN's new but at only 10kw of power. KCMN is going to run at 15kw. Since I am able to pick up KQML at the lower power I am hoping that KCMN will come in like gangbusters.

Sinclair Launches Ad-Supported Streaming Service STIRR

If you have a roku you can load the STIRR app. it is free it is pretty good for cord cutters. Caries Buzzr and Charge TV, and Stadium, among others.Looks good to me. This maybe a way for digitals that don't cover some cities or are only on low power to band together and make a go of it.
