Please don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to take the blame off the Dolan's in the least. They made the decision to pull the content, but the story I got in an e-mail from the NHL was that DirecTV had made the MSG HD feeds available without the proper rights to do so.

From what I can gather from the e-mails I've gotten here's what went down: 1) MSG had never consented to their HD feeds being used as part of NHL Center Ice 2) DirecTV was making those feeds available anyway. My understanding, a quick google search back this up that no other provider except...

Ditto. Feeling your pain but there's been no news. If you want a taste of the Sabres in HD you can switch over to 638-1 as soon as the game is over and catch the postgame in HD.

According to the latest DirecTV schedule: February 15th/17th/19th - Devils are supposed to be in HD February 14th/18th/19th - Islanders are supposed to be in HD One of these is a Rangers/Islanders game (on the 18th)

Based on DirecTV's schedule updates, the dispute is only involving the Rangers and Sabres games as both the Devils and Islanders have HD games listed for the upcoming weeks.

Yup. For DirecTV to do something directly with MSG would violate the NHL's blackout rules. My hope though is along the same lines - that this dispute will clear the way for the future.

I'm just going off to DirecTV's schedule for the Devils where both the games on the 6th and 7th have HD feeds from MSG listed. Same with the Islanders for their game on the 7th

It would appear that if it did involve the Sabres, Islanders, and Devils it does not any longer. Center Ice on DirecTV is showing that they'll have home feeds in HD for both the Islanders and the Devils in February. None listed yet for the Sabres, but there's only one home game so far so we'll...
