    Actually KTXD offers several local programs in HD, including their newscast "The Texas Daily", other programming in conjunction with D! magazine, some locally produced sports programming. MeTV (simulcast on 47.4 in SD) uses the MeTV programming to fill. J

    Glad you fared well. I'm in DC and watched the storm out my living room window in my apartment (6th Floor). Never lost signal, even on 129 from my dish on my balcony. Even saw some transformers blow during commercials (and watched the 15-story apartment building across the street go black...)...

    Interesting how they picked WNKY.2 from Bowling Green, KY. I wonder if someone at dish was thinking the station was from Bowling Green, OH when originally picked... I would think Cleveland or Wheeling, WV or even the new CBS station in Parkersburg, WV would be more appropriate. J

    local channels

    I've had a few problems recently on my locals, but it's more of the "rain predictor" variety. Being a little south of HLLY, the rain is causing issues on 61.5 before the rains come. Once the rain's here, the channels are back... J

    Dish changed my locals

    I'm guessing there was a sweep done. I had been in Charlotte, NC, then moved (not "moved") back to Virginia, but the Charlotte stations stayed (but not on my bill) and just recently disappeared... J (Guess I need to change my location - not in H-Town anymore...)

    My experience with the 211 is that if you add or remove the hard drive, the 211 wants to reboot itself. When I travel for an extended period, I unplug the 211, then power down the EHD. Powering up goes in the reverse order (power up EHD, then plug in 211). The other thing I've run into is if...
